Lupi's Bulb Line Party!

Well I shall my butler Chapen to bring The Glen Livet on the rocks, and the Grog for later after the BBQ. He is preparing my rib roast on the grill with a fresh garden salad and just some plain sliced juicy tomatoes. I have my canopy louge swing so I can relax until dinner is served. Of course I will have my butler and my man servant move me up as the line progress so I won't loose my place in line.
AWWWW life is good! Hey Lupy put the ones we talk about in my bag first before they can see them lol.

I really do think there should be a separate line for short people as I don't even come up to Ponditis's shoulder.

Hey Lupi, I need a corydalis (or three) also just for all the protecting that I have done for you. I have my secret weapons here this time so you just rest assured that if you need my help I will be ready for anything. (I was looking at the corydalis today at our nursery and they are asking $9.95 for a 3 inch pot of it!)

Zany, you can quit your whining because I can send you a hosta if that will make you happy. I will dig one of my own beauties that I wanted to take to the library if you really insist. (Guilt trip)

Maxine, you don't need to tell these people how short you are! You could have been MY body guard but now you have blown your cover. Hey, while you are waiting in line at Lupi's I think I should go to your house and raid your garden. You have some really lovely plants there that would be great in MY yard. Hmmmmmm and Arch might just help me with the project too. I think he liked me because I took him to see the potato harvest. :>)

Carena, I will help you hold your place in line if you will help me protect dear Lupi. I will let you take second/first choice at one bulb if you will do that for me.

All you others, welcome to our party and let the party go on and on and on till Lupi comes out. She doesn't want our help because she might miss some plants that some people might put in their pockets. That would NOT be fair at all would it Lupi?

HAH! That guilt stuff never works on a Hedonistic Gal! So get that shovel out and dig that baby right on up! So far I have a grand total of one (1) hosta and it is an unnamed one from in front of the grocery store or pharmacy! Poor thing almost didn't make it through what with the snails eating it faster than it could send up shoots this year but we got them under control an the pitiful thing is actually starting to look like a hosta again. So guilt or no guilt, if you are willing to send me any hostas I will even promise to be good for one whole day...but I get to pick the day! February 30th sounds like a good date for it to me...I love the Hostas and the large leafed ones look downright tropical while the shall leafed ones add so many colors and textures that I drool over all the pictures I see of them.

dearest lupinelover, before i get involved with these unscrupulous, degenerate, willing to do anything for a bulb folks here, i would like some of those Corydalis cheilanthifolia and bloodroot seeds, and whatever else you got. i'm not picky. not like some of these so called "nice folks at dave's". i was wondering lupine, why do you allow these degenerates to make a line at your house? i would just let them stand out in the road or something. now someone as nice as say.....me.....you could just let in and have some coffee. i would be willing to help you with your bulbs, packaging them, making up labels and whatever it is that i could do. see i'm one of the really true "nice" folk here at dave's. oh yes i forgot to tell you, i have experience with doing a co-op so i know all the little ins and outs and i'm an extremely organized person. as a matter of fact i'm helping shirley1md with her co-op. you can get a reference from her if you want.
of course if you would like to give me a few bulbs or seeds for helping you out, well i wouldn't want to hurt your feelings and say no. oh, can i get you a coffee, beer, iced tea? what would you like. my you are exerting yourself so in the garden there. let me help. where is the extra fork so i can loosen the dirt around those tender little babies.

huggle002, Funny? ME? I have been called lots and lots of things but Funny? Or was that a typo? Did you mean Fumey? Cause I do get called a Stinker a lot which I don't understand since I bathe regularly every spring and every summer without fail. And on top of that I seem to always be in Hot water for something or other...Sometimes I stay in Hot water for days and get all pruney like...

Now that debi_z, she is FUNNY! To offer Lupine help in getting organized is a real hoot! Lupine is so organized she could improve on the dewi decimal system in the library and put the finishing touches on a spit polished military barrack at the same time! Now if she really wanted to help Lupine out she would get a grunt party together and go over there and have an Ivy removal party!

I am really nervous about that Whip toteing Pond though! She seems to think we would attack Lupine when in fact it is our job to distract HER so Lupine can get all that work done!

And that Mollybee keeps shootin off that cannon of hers almost as fast as I keep shootin off my mouth! :~)

Ok all you whip toting cannon carring ladies it's time to hand over all weapons. I mean the whips, chains, cannons, blade and even spades (don't want any sneaking digging) so we can hall them off so this will be a fare scrap for the bulbs.

ROCL about me being organized! Debi_Z, come on up here! I could use your help... about now is when I need to get all my seed envelopes labelled. Give me a hand with that? OK, since you offered, make one of Siberian Squill, another for Glory of the Snow, another for Bloodroot, another for the Corydalis chel (drat it I never could spell that thing!!!). And while you're at it, do one for C. lutea.

Oh, don't you dare forget to make one for the anemones. I think Badseed was too mean to me last night to deserve any, so it goes to y'all. And another for the tulipa blanda; those ought to be ripe tomorrow. Got the one for the species crocus? How about the woodland hyacinth? I don't think we need to wait until June for the Spanish and English bluebell seeds to ripen, those can come later. But for sure do a label for the VA bluebells. Those will be ripe next week. What's that? Wild ginger seed? You bet! If we can beat the ants to it.

No, get away from the hellebores! Those ripen in late June. It is way too soon for them. And the pagoda tree berries will be ripe then, too, so I will offer seeds again later.

Right now just for the things that do not store, they need to be sown immediately or they die.

BTW, I am not surprised at the price asked for the corydalis. They always hate to be transplanted; almost all of mine that self-sow die when attempted. They must be grown from seed sown direct in the pot or in the ground. But they are really easy to grow from seed :) And incredibly beautiful bronze foliage in the winter.

PFHHHT! This whipped cream sid seem a bit light! Never knew it came in a can like this. Here it comes in a carton and you have to whip it yourself! Modern wonders never cease to amaze me ;~)

I saw something bright streak across the sky...was it a shooting star? or a UFO? (I am from California and UFO's are common here)

Wouldn't it be great if it was a UFO? How exciting. Okay, I'm up for the duration, no more sleep. I'm afraid I'd miss the UFO thing. I've read about the crop circle thingies too, I'd love to see how they are made, by whatever makes them. Have any been made around here, wherever it is we are? LOL

Hmmmm, we are in Ohio and I think there were some of those crop circles in this area!
