New Here

Orlando, FL(Zone 9b)

Hi Everyone!

I am new here and just wanted to get get the low down on trading. Is it ok to just post my want list and tell people to check what I have to trade or should I post what I have to trade in the message? Also if someone wants something on my list I am up for suggestions of things they want to trade to me. Are general "lets trade" postings ok or should you only post when you want to trade for specific things?

Hope this makes sense. Thanks for you help!

Welcome Polarbear.........pretty much any way you want to put it will work. I don't think most are too particular and will see what you have to offer and see what you're looking for or whatever works :o)

Hey polarbear, welcome you're going to love it here.I've only been here about a week and I'm hooked already What kind of gardening are you in to?

Orlando, FL(Zone 9b)

Thanks for all the wonderful welcomes. I have only a container garden. I have herbs, a couple of starter bonsai, ornamental peppers, scented geraniums, some flowers and a bananna plant.

I can't wait until I can get more space for plants!

Hi Polarbear! Boy if you want to trade plants, you did come to the right Internet site! I just sent off about 300 plants to various DG'ers this week! And a couple hundred a few weeks before that! I know you will have a great time finding your way around the forums.

I also grow herbs (check out that forum!) and roses (have you found that one yet?) and shade plants (my latest mass-shipping) and perennials and natives and ornamental grasses and containers and ... LOL For general garden growing, try Garden Talk forum. Just a bunch of gardeners bragging and complaining about our gardens :)

Are you going to get more growing space soon? I hope so!

Please tell me. How are you going to get more space? no space,no problem there is always room for plants! so what if you have more plants than furniture:)

Believe me I use every bit of light that my porch gets :) I live in an apartment and don't get enough light inside. I grow some little plants under lights though. Soon as I get a better job I will try to get a house. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Hi polarbear,

Just jump in on different forums and ask for what you are interested in. If someone has some to spare, they are usually willing to share. Some folks just want postage, but you can tell them if you have anything to share. Be brave! It's fun.

Welcome Polarbear,

I'm fairly new myself, and aren't we lucky to have found DG?! I am totally addicted!
