After Easter Dinner

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

So what did you all do after your big Easter Dinner?

We went to some friends for an informal Easter dinner and when we came home I headed straight for the gardens. Since we have sunlight for another hour now, I can work outside until 7pm...or until I can't see anything anymore. lol

This area is where I had my bird feeder all winter, and now that I've moved it, I have lots and lots of bird seed sprouting. I know it will take several times to get it all out, but I have to put some of my plants in that area and wanted to get it cleaned out soon. My DH surprised me with this picture, as he never uses this camera. I had my head down and then he called my name, snap-click, pic taken. I even had my evening cup of coffee with me in the garden...lol

Hope you all had a nice Easter.

That is a great spontaneous photo of the SoCal in her natural habitat, LOL! Your garden is beautiful, too!

Lovely garden!

I, too, worked and weeded in the yard to the beautiful accompaniment of birdsong. Mr. Bluebird sat and patiently waited while I collected grubs for his Easter Dinner!

Donna, what a gorgeous garden! Nice to see you, girl! I did some container planting and weeding Monday afternoon - the extra daylight is most welcome, I know what you mean.

So nice to meet you and see your beautiful garden. It is lovely and so are you!

Now I have something to show my dh! He laughs at me when I sit that way while trying to weed the beds. He always says "you want me to get you a pillow?" or "Why don't you just lay down" LOL I told him I have to sit in all different positions in order to stay there for more than a few minutes. If it just didn't hurt so much when I get up...I could do that all day!

Very pretty Garden ya have there SoCal. I have always wanted those kind of stepping stones in my yard!

I am usually on my hands and knees, but after an hour, this is the position that takes over for awhile, then it's back to the knees. hehe

Thanks for the compliments on my yard, it is my refuge.

Donna, that's a lovely shot of you doing what you like best. I find that I too start out on my hands and knees, then have to take frequent breaks.
Your garden is lovely...It sure looks like a fun place to hang out...
