I got a message yesterday about buying postage stamps that support breast cancer research and asking me to forward it. I’m pretty selective about what I pass on and junk mail usually stops at my inbox. But because of the subject, instead of deleting the message I did some research. I found a similar statement on someone's web page that's dated a few years ago, and I'd hate to see this worthwhile effort stopped or misunderstood because of outdated information.
The stamps are available at the post office and money does go for cancer research. Please let others know without turning it into a chain letter or junk mail. Talk about it, send a fresh message, etc. And please buy the stamps to support breast cancer research.
Here's information about the stamp from the Women's Information Network Against Breast Cancer:

Here's information from the post office about the stamp:

And here's a link to buy the stamp online at the postal site:

Research Stamps
Cheryl,
I just sent out a message to everyone on my address list. Great idea. Thanks. I also pasted a picture of the stamp in my message so they know what to look for.
Are they still available? I used to buy them for all my mail but last time I asked for them they said they were out. I just assumed they were no longer available but she probably just meant until a shipment came in!

In addition to buying the stamps...PLEASE support the Breast Cancer Site too....there are five good charities on this site and it cost us nothing to click on them each day! We can do so much good by doing this. Thanks! Jo
