jpg/jpeg extension on photos

It seems that my computer saves pictures in a jpeg rather than a jpg format. Although I think these mean the same thing, I always need to change the extention on the pictures I upload from jpeg to jpg. Not a big problem, but a bother. So I was wondering if there was a quick, easy way that you could allow this site to accept jpeg extentions also? Thanks.

I am using Windows 2000 professional and netscape as a browser. Is there a way I can instruct my computer to save the files as jpg rather than jpeg? This problem has only occurred in the past couple of months. Rose

Garden wife,
I use IrfanView program to save photos I think. How can you tell? I know I edit with irfanview or sometimes with the kodak imaging that comes with windows.
