I met Carena today.

Carena and I had a nice visit today, she drove to my house and from there we visited Wooden Shoe Bulb Company who is hosting a beautiful tulip festival now,( I believe they have a website by that same name). Wooden Shoe is about 3 miles from here and Carena is about 8 miles from me. Just have to say how much I appreciate the doors that Dave's Garden has opened for me and meeting others here and in person who are so enthralled with gardening. We missed Pebble but we wish her Godspeed and happy trip to Turkey. I would love to hear some of your stories of meeting other DGers in person.

Lenjo, all the people that I have had the great fortune to meet from Dave's Garden have been such a blessing! I can't begin to say all the good things about our gatherings. Gardenwife and Howie, of course; her mother Lotusblossom and her DH. Great people! Outstanding hospitality!

Then Calalily and Carol7 and Roadrunner came on their trek last summer; another great gathering at Gardenwife's house. I got to meet Windsurffer who lives about 3 miles from me and OB, then I got to meet MikePiper. We had an Ohio roundup last summer. I also got to meet Esther_z6 and her DH when they were in town.

Then this past Friday we got to gather again at my house, and I got to meet Morph! She is even better in person than on the computer. But of course everyone from DG is like that: just so friendly and outgoing and cheerful and helpful and so, so, so nice :)

I am glad you have a DG friend close by; doing gardening things with a friend is always much better than doing them alone. Checking out some nurseries together; go to a few local public gardens, a garden tour, etc.

You are so lucky lupine to meet so many. Sounds like you have had great times.

It was really fun, Lenjo's home and gardens are ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! She sent me home with a trunkful of treasures from her greenhouse...Thanks again Lenjo, for being so generous and so nice! I'm still constantly amazed at how great all you DG'ers are!
Lenjo, don't forget- in a few weeks I'm going to treat you to a trip up to Portland so you can see the beautiful Crystal Springs Rhododendron gardens!!

Lenjo and Carena, I'm glad you got together, it sounds like you had a great day. Lenjo, we miss you over on the farm forum. What's happening in the berry fields and your greenhouse?
