Grandson Ben

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

I just couldn't resist showing this latest photo of him. He's been poorly and on breathing apparatus but he sure looks good to me. I love him to pieces!! What a shame he's so far away in Germany - all those happy, growing up moments that I can't share!! I have a feeling the picture might be too big!

oh my gosh!!!!! he's just gorgeous!!! The picture is just right and he is a real cutie!!!! I hope he's doing better now.

Oh, Margaret, he's just a heart-melter. What a beautiful, happy-looking child. Children cope so well with illness and inconvenience, one would never know he'd been under the weather! He's simply dear.

What a doll baby! What a sweet child! I think you grandma should take him for the summer :-)

An absolute doll (sigh).

what a twinkled eyed cutie, just want to give him hugs !!!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

He does, he looks just like a little doll. That face is made for baby ads, oh, my. He just sparkles!

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Mags he is so precious. You just want to cuddle with him.

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh my, how he is growing! My daughters youngest two both had to use a breathing aparatus for years. the older one finally outgrew the problem and the youngest now only needs it once or twice a week. I hope Ben outgrows it soon!

By the way, DD just found out she is expecting number 4! That will bring me up to 8 grandkids! And me so young...how did that happen ;~)

Margaret that's a beautiful picture. Ben has such a sweet face.

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

He really is a doll but he has lost some of his ruddy cheeks due to his illness and really bad cough and I can tell from his eyes that he is not well, poor baby. But even under duress, this little boy is a charmer, delighting everyone he meets. He has a very gentle nature but he's very pushy too - when he's taken to a restaurant he thinks nothing of leaving his table and pulling up a chair and joining strangers at another table to Lorraine's embarrassment - as though she doesn't feed him enough!! lolol!!!!

Oklahoma City, OK(Zone 7a)

What a handsome little fellow. Is any of his grandma found in those cherub cheeks?

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

AWWWW, my dear margs, what a cutie pie! That face belongs on magazines. He could be a model! I hope he is on the mend soon.

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

What a cute happy looking little guy. It's been a long time since my boys were that size and looked that huggable.

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

hah!!!....what a great one that one is! As for being "pushy"!! Nawww....he just wants to be friends with all those around him! He ain't shy! He's great!
;>)

Mount Prospect, IL(Zone 5a)

He is such a precious child. He has such a darling smile and looks so good natured.

Oh Lord I could just bawl every time I see a new photo of him. How lucky most of you are to have your grandchildren within huggable reach. We can't go to Europe every year and was hoping that they could get over here this year as was their intention but because of Ben's health situation and Lorraine's hubbie working day and night......well!! The German economy is taking such a dive that prudence and common sense is called for.

Zany I meant to congratulate you on yet another grandchild on the way. Happy days!! Yes, how on earth did you manage to have so many at your tender young age!! :-)

Thank you my friends for all your good wishes for Ben.

Margaret, how very disappointing (to say the least) that Ben, Lorraine and her husband can't come here to visit this year. I am praying for good health to reign for family members on both sides of the Atlantic, so that you will all be able to get together soon in joy and good cheer.

Such a little angel. You and your DD are indeed blessed, Margaret. Praying for his speedy recovery. Kathy

The greatest compliment I can give: He is as pretty as MY grandson!!! And probably just as SMART!! LOL Jo

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

lol Jo - I will take that as a compliment. Thank you Bonnie, Kathy and Brenda. Today I received some more photos - they are precious. It's sort of the after shots - after the new medication had kicked in and he looks just wonderful. I might even be tempted to post just one more picture of him. :-)

Well, you had better! ;)

Crossville, TN

PLEASEEEEEE!!! Jo (now you owe me....LOL )

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

And another - last one I promise!! I have no idea where he gets the curls, the blonde looks are obvious - from his handsome dad. Doesn't he look so much better, so well. I was so happy to see him this way at last. Thank God!!

Louisa, he is such a handsome lad that I am going to print out his picture and put it beside the one of Badseeds girls I have framed!!! Jo

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Be still my heart!

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

He really does have the cherubic look to those rosey cheeks and yet he looks all boy at the same time. It is great seeing him looking happy and full of zest!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I photoshopped one of the pictures of him for you a bit, Mags - you can see his rosy-cheekedness a little more. :)

Oh, Margaret, he is such a delight! And GW, that shot of Ben that you "Photoshopped" really does show his glowing cheeks to advantage. I am thrilled that little Ben is doing so much better, Margaret, and am praying daily that his recovery will be complete and permanent!

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Kim you are so clever, thank you!! :-) Jo, I also have photos of Chele's girls and you do know don't you that Jazzy is bethrothed to Ben. lol!! Bonnie, I know you pray for us all - I am so grateful.

Grove City, OH(Zone 6a)

Aaahhh, now that is one absolute cherub! And I am so glad he is doing better! I am keeping up my prayers for his full and complete recovery! And for you, dear heart, that you can see him soon...

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Thanks Kathy but he took another turn for the worse today and am hoping the new medication soon gets rid of whatever is ailing him.

I'll be praying for this setback to be minor and very brief. He might just need an adjusted dose of the meds. I know you'll keep us posted, Margaret, and will pray for you to be calm while long-term progress is underway.

Grove City, OH(Zone 6a)

Still praying, Love. ((( Margaret ))) and ((((((( Ben )))))) Babies get more hugs ;D

Panama, NY(Zone 5a)

yep, he is a doll baby! What a boy! He looks like mischief, lol.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, this little guy is too precious. I usually prefer girls over boys, but I love this one. As difficult as it is for me to be 100 miles from Granddarling, I ache for you, Margaret, knowing it would take forever to get to him. When my DD in Pa. had her children, she lived in Germany, and I felt so handicapped by that huge distance. Do you mind if I pray for Lorraine and her German hubby to decide to move to the good old USofA? I think Ben might thrive in this climate.
