Hey, Esther!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Look! Leaves popped out on the jasmine start you gave me last summer. Can you believe it?! There's some die-back at the tip of the cutting, still. Should I prune to just above the leaf node?

I'm so excited to see it's alive and kicking...and growing! I fertilized it a little over a week ago, and maybe that jump-started it.

I'm so glad it is finally doing something. I used to root this plant so easily, but haven't succeeded recently. I would cut off the die-back so it looks better. Do you suspect it would eventually die back to the leaf node?

That's what I was thinking, so today (when the cat started gnawing on the end), I cut it back to just above that leaf node. I suspect some of the dieback may have been caused by a certain cat, actually...

Real leaves - I'm so excited! (Do I need a life?)
