Snow in West KY!!

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

I can't believe it! We actually had a small 'snow event' today.Quite disheartning,as my apple trees are blooming.

Dori, did you throw these snowballs this far south???

Here's my house. UGGGG!

Carly is wondering where all of the nice grass went.

Across the back yard with a view of my snowy pear tree and my neighbor's crabapple tree.

Carly looking in the office door. She's one of those dogs that won't get wet....prefers to be out in it.

When the snow first started coming down ,the flakes were as big as our leaves, and she was completely covered in it.By the time I had run home and got my camera,it was melting fast.

Thank goodness,it's about gone now!

Hope you warm right back up!

Oh,it's up to 45* now. This was about an hour this morning and now it's just raining.

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Hahaha, at last someone else got it too, je suis très heureux :) Hope it melts for you soon, 2/3 of what we got last week is gone.

Haueva, that amount of snow you got "is nothing", so don't worry.

Well, I know it wasn't my snow - I still have most of mine! I'll refrain from posting pics. I'll just be slightly depressed by myself - lol.

It's ok, I can't really do anything yet anyway and I'm up to my elbows in quilting projects! One down, 7 or 800 to go!

I have a flower bed in the backroom. I'll get a pic of that and post it later.

Love that dog!!! Melody, it should be worth suffering with the snow and possible damage if that sweet dog can have fun! LOL!

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Well, nothing got damaged...it wasn't cold enough...and I never put my houseplants out for the summer yet.I would have, but the wind had been so terrible,I figured it would have shredded them.

It never got below 36*,so a blanket would have sufficed if they had been out.Just glad winter is about over.

By the way,Carly has already caught 2 moles and about 15 voles already this year. She's about got the mole population exterminated, but I fear the vole battle will be ongoing for years yet...which is just as well,it's a job she absolutely lives for.

Wow, what strange weather this country is having. We were ice bound about 4 days ago, and today it was in the 70's.

Maybe I'm getting 70's because I didn't actually throw snowballs? LOL

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

We were c-c-c-cold yesterday and today (no verified snowflakes, but it sure felt like it was sleeting.) But at long last, it's slowly warming up - warmer now than it has been for more than 48 hours. PLEASE let there be sunshine and warmer temps tomorrow; the weatherman promised, and I'm banking on it - plant sale tomorrow and Saturday (fingers crossed!)

crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

We had snow last night and this morning with flakes as big as golf balls!! And its only 31 outside right now. I HATE THIS! Forget spring, I want summer! NOW! Sorry. Just a small tantrum.
