40,000 by dawn!?

It sure looks like it should be so. Whoa! Who could have guessed this would come so soon?

It is 40,002 now and it is just getting light outside. You were right Aimee. Wow!

Wowsers. 40,000. Who would have thought???? (At one point, I would have never dreamed we could possibly have 100,000 members. Now it's just a matter of WHEN, not IF!)

Anyone want to try to predict when it will hit 50,000?

Dave, a question, or two: Do you sometimes marvel at the growth of your little trade tracker as a parent marvels at the individuality of a growing child?

Do you have plans for taking DG in a new direction as a result of its astonishing popularity and growth?

Do you ever sleep?

lol Aimee, how can he when he is flitting around the world? I am taking him to Turkey, so I hope nothing goes wrong on the home front.....

Oh, am I jealous! I always wanted to go to Istanbul (Constantinople!) and now Dave gets to go while still a young man. Have a good time, ya'll.

But of these 40,000+, how many are paid subscribers? Some people probably think Dave and Trish are getting rich off of this, I think not.

At this moment, there are exactly 900 subscribers. Note that many of these are $5 subscribers (two months "trial") and several accounts exist that were not paid for (administrative accounts, professional courtesies, etc).

We are growing, also. I predict revenues of around $15,000 this year, which doesn't support a family, but certainly does cover the overhead of operating the site!

I'm glad it does support itself, I'd hate for you to have to close this site down. I think some of us would go into withdrawal.

I don't think there is any danger of that, gingerlily. DG is a very important part of a lot of peoples' life and I can't imagine not having it around.
