A Love Story

Picture this :-)....It's 8:15 in the morning...I'm on my knees in the garden so you know I'm already dirty plus I had just top dressed some plants with fish poop so you know how wonderful that stuff is. DH is getting ready to pressure wash the front porch and the song by Dolly Parton "I will always love you" comes on the radio. DH and I have this pact that no matter where we are, if that song or "What a wonderful world" - don't remember the artist - plays....we stop whatever we're doing and dance. So, here are, at 8:15 in the morning, in our work clothes and already dirty, dancing in the middle of the driveway....Yep, still in love after all these years....34 in May....Hope everyone else's day starts out as wonderful as mine did!

what an uplifting story, that is the stuff good marriages are made of! Thanks for sharing it.

My DH and I will be married 50 years on Aug. 28 and we still do things like that. Sometimes I think the neighbors must think we are a "bubble off plumb". "Ain't true love grand?"

Vic, I love that!!! I can just picture the two of you dancing...what a lovely story, thanks for sharing it with us!

Oh, Vic, I would have loved to have a camera to preserve the moment. It's that kind of spontaneity that keeps you young and in love.

Go for it Peggy LOL...You're not going to believe this but TODAY, What a Wonderful World played and this time, Hank is just back from trimming limbs back on my walking path, my hands (with gloves on) are in the toilet cleaning YUK....soooooooooo, I pulled off the gloves and we "waltzed" in the shop LOL....

Are you sure you didn't slip the dj a few bucks? Seriously, I think this is a great show of keeping a vow.

How did I miss this???? Spring is in the air for sure!!! I can picture you and Hank quite easily and love the love that binds you two so closely!!

Now every time I see this one commercial for decking material I think of you guys, Vic.

You know the one? The camera zooms in from the trees to the deck behind a house. As it zooms, different things cease motion and hang suspended and still - the leaves falling, the birds, the butterflies. The husband's sitting in a chair on the deck, reading his newspaper. His wife comes out of the house and holds her hand out to him. He tosses the newspaper aside (and it, too, hangs in mid-air).

They dance together out on their deck, while everything around them is suspended in time. :)

What a Wonderful World is probably my favorite...wish I could sing it exactly like Satchmo tho! Guess I better learn to dance, too! (Not much into ballroom dancing tho...I've always felt if I could ever learn to SHAG and also learn to MoonWalk, I'd feel completed!)

AH Vic, so sweet, I too feel so blessed but we ain't dancers but this makes me wanna learn. Shoe sounds like we need some lessons. Are you teaching,Vic and Hank?

And that Hank is so good at removing fish hooks also. Both of you are just special people anyway.
