I'm in the house at the computer because it is just too windy outside. The temp. is our warmest day so far this year, 72 degrees, but the wind is bad. I worked outside from 6:30 am until 10:30, and then the wind got so bad I just gave up, anyway I was tired. Had dug holes and planted 10 shrubs or perennials in my new woodland garden. I think it will look pretty good in 10 or so years when the trees get grown!!!! right now some are maybe 10" and others 30". So they won't creat much shade for a few years. I am going to pick up 4 in 5 gal. containers that should be 5 or 6 feet tall. I will get them at Forest Farm in early May when my daughter comes out from Virginia and we drive 9 hours from Spokane WA to Greers in Williams OR. We are going to stop a 2 o3 other nurseries, but don't think there will be much room left in the 6 ft. bed of my little Chevy S10. Donna

Sorry to reply so late, lots of snow melted today, raining. Temp. was 40s today but 30s now and might snow. Going to see my Mom tomorrow in Sebago. Overnight so I can hit Portland for my sono-gram on Tues. Bringing Mom a TV w/remote. Hers broke. Of course I don't mind seeing my Mom but this medical [stuff] can end. Donna, the S-10 is way too dinky a truck for you. Stick with Chevy but look at something that will hold a sheet of plywood flat. You need more room? Do it. Frank

The wind came and the warmth-infront of the bad weather here
today i woke up to snow covered ground!
OH BOTHER!

It got really blustery here, too. We're seeing sunshine and warmer temps here today, though. Finally!

It has been terribly windy here for a week now. Usually march is truly windy al month, but this year, up until this past week, it was wonderful weather- now, it is impossible to do hardly anything outside. Methinks March does not know its place!

I am really fed up with the wind. Everything outside is being tossed around, and I can't water to replace the moisture lost to the wind because it just blows the water everywhere but where I want it. Of course, by this time next month, I will be searching for a breeze so I can work outside past 9 A.M.

I have been trying to get out all week to spray the weeds at the back of our property but it has either been too windy or raining when the wind is gone. The weeds will be 10 feet tall again this year like last year when they got away from us. sigh. These weeds are poison hemlock so I need to get them gone from our property before we lose an animal to the poison.
