Lenjo, the Ipomoea Tuberosa seeds are almost the size of a small marble. Quite large and the leaves don't look like MG leaves to me. They are deeply lobed and each lob is very long and thin. Looks like an illegal plant leaf, somewhat. Maybe what you have is the Hawaiian BABY Woodrose. Those seeds are smaller and some that I received from a friend even had that moldy look to them. Mine still have not come up.

Brugie, mine hasn't come up yet either. I finally soaked it so long, there was a bit of a crack in it, so I planted it. The other one I soaked for a week and planted it too without waiting so long, but I guess it wasn't meant to be! Just had a thought! In the morning I'll go fishing through the pot and see if it is still there or rotted or what!!!!

I almost always nick the hard coated seeds. I didn't have 100% germination on the Woodrose seeds. Still waiting on the Baby Woodrose to germinate. If I don't get the vines that are growing out of the house soon, they will take over.

Brugie, do you have link? I did see something that was like what you described a Hawaiian baby tuberose. The first leaves not the true leaves were the ones that reminded me of morning glory but now the true leaves are lobed and five in a group. So I will continue to monitor this mystery.

There are a couple that I've looked at for the Hawaiian Woodrose. I've not checked up on the Baby Woodrose yet.

Thanks,Brugie, the picture on the second link shows 7 leaves and this thing I have is only five. I did a google on merremia aurea and I kind of have a hunch that is what I have. This thread has been really helpful, thanks everybody and if I ever get a bloom I will be sure to post it. I transplanted 4 of them into larger pots today and left them in the greenhouse. We are having so much wet and very cool weather here that I dare not take them outdoors yet.
