error message while posting a pic

Tried to post a pic( first time) on another forum and got an error message "Warning: getimagesize()[Function.getimagesize].Read Error!in www./garden/inc/util.php on line 209" Can someone who speaks Geek tell me in real simple terms what I did wrong? It was a jpeg file of 671kb. When I open this file the pic is pretty big- fills the screen- do I need to make it smaller? How? Help!

Hmmm, it may be too large but I thought Dave had things set up to automatically resize them. I know I have forgotten to resize and the system did it for me.

Well, I think that one is on Dave's to-do list, but unless I've been asleep at the wheel, I don't think he's done it yet.

I'll let Dave decipher that error message for you (I can honestly say I do speak some Greek, at least the ancient botanical kind. But computer stuff is still, uh, er, all Greek to me ;o)

Still haven't figured the error out but the pic posted OK finally. Took a long time to load though-is that usual? It is in the Garden Talk forum under homemade trellis/arbor subject.Still a little shaky on picture posting so will just have to keep trying. MW
