My want list- for those who asked :)

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8b)

For those of you who have asked for a want list from Dave and I, here is my list. It comes almost entirely from the deer resistant plant lists that we have been able to find.
I'm sure that there may be many things that are deer resistant that aren't found on this list, but I'm just not aware of them.

There were painfully few plants that we were able to bring with us :( It is quite difficult to move plants 1700 miles away in winter time.

Thanks to all of the people that have emailed me asking for a list. DG's generosity never fails to amaze me!

We'd welcome anything that is not on this list...however, know that it could quickly become deer food.

I understand that deer will not eat Castor bean plants. I don't have any seeds to send now, but maybe someone else does.

Thanks, Aimee - we have plenty of Castor Bean seeds (in fact, just today I saw a few that I had sown had germinated in the garden - woo hoo! The garden begins...)

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

And I thought this was going to be a baby shower list of things you wanted ~ shucks!

Sorry Azalea - my mistake! (and I can't even make the excuse that it happened too early in the morning!)

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

hehehe, if Dave had been quick-thinking, he would have started the "baby wants...SUCCULENTS!" wish list ;o)

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

LOL!

Grove City, OH(Zone 6a)

Baby shower???

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

yep!!! And you can bet once we find out what the baby is, there will be a great big one!!

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8b)

*blush*!

You guys know I would have NEVER asked for such a thing!!!

I have some cast iron plant that I can send, but my world is going to have to slow down some before I can send it. I'm in IL right now, just got back from OK the other day and will drive back to AL Sat/Sun with both girls. :) I'll give you a holler when I'll be able to send it - and find out how much you're hoping to get.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I am happy to finally see this list! I told you I have you covered on the lamb's ears. I also can send black eyed susies and then seeds for some of your other wants. :) If it isn't too cold this weekend, I will try to get on that.

Mcallen, TX(Zone 8a)

It might be good if you started an "already have" list.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Trish, I just packaged up your plants, and as I was walking to the puter, I realized that I had forgotten the grass and yarrow....egads!!! I will send it to you when I get back from Turkey!
please note: be very careful when you open it, you will find something wrapped in the most unconventional manner...it is simply hysterical! hope it gets there intact!

cheers and happy gardening

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Hey Trish, I am curious to know what you no longer need and what if anything you need more of or still want?? I am planning to get your box out this week, barring any more illness fun at my house! :( Oh, and how many acres of lambs ears do you want? giggle
Hope you are healthy and well. Big hugs. :)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

yes, is there anything you have too much of or just the right amount and don't need more?

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8b)

I'm sorry that it took so long for me to get back to you.

Dave and I have been thinking of deer fencing our back yard. Currently with several of you contibuting, the back is nicely filled out with plants!!! Thank you so much!

The other news is that Dave and I have decided to deer fence the back yard (about an acre). When that happens, we won't be restricted to only deer-resistant plants. (whooo- hoooo- I'm already drooling.) The front will be the place for all of the deer plants. I'm hoping we'll start on it very soon.

Here are the couple of things I don't need anymore:
zinnia
blue bonnets
cosmos
mums
Autumn Joy Sedum

Hugs,
Trish
