Can we get some forums back?

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Pretty please? I'd like to see the wildflower forum back. It's spring and pretty soon many of the woodland jewels will be blooming again. It'd be nice to have the forum back to discuss and show off pictures ...

I'm about to start a mess of ornamental grasses from seeds too. I was missing the grass forum also. Not sure if anyone else is tho. Anybody else with me on this one?

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

I vote for the wildflower forum for sure :)

Wildflowers are back! :)

Thanks Dave!!

Yea I'd vote for the grass and bamboo forum to come back too. I just started 7 different kinds of grass seeds that Badseed sent to me!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I really liked the grass forum. :) Grasses are sort of like daylilies. A lot of people don't have them or only had a couple, and once you get a few you can't stop. LOL

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

I think I have a whole new collection of grasses now! Thanks again Badseed! Now if we just had a forum to talk about them in! LOL

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Especially with the Purple Majesty millet! I would LOVE to have th grass forum, pretty please!!!! Is there any other logical place to put it? If so, that's fine. Right now, I just don't know where I'd put it for certain. BTW, seeds sprouted in almost less than two days ~ couldn't believe it!!!

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

We got some grass plants with our perennials;
Calamagrostis (Feather Reed) - Karl Foerster
Miscanthus (Maiden Grass)- Morning Light
Miscanthus (Flame Grass) - Purpurascens
Grasses don't do good here, it is to cold in winter I guess.
These are zone 5, & we are zone 4.
We will try anyhow.
Picture is Feather Reed.

Karl Foerster is a GREAT grass. My two clumps are on their third season now and it's doing wonderfully!

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

I am too new to have seen either the Wild Flower or Grass Forums but would be interested in both. I have 8 or 10 different grasses and like them all. A few years ago I made up a photo album of a lot of the native to this area wild flowers and entered in County Fair. Got a blue! Donna

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Couldn't Wildflowers and Grasses be combined?

"eyes"

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Eyes, good idea :)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

There ya go! I could live with those two merged. :)

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

I really miss the current event forum....
It would be an ideal forum for me to keep up with what's going on here when I move to Turkey....
Any chance? or did it just get too controversial and out of hand?

Unfortunately, the current events forum is no compatible with our acceptable use policy. I miss it just as much as you, Pebble, and I really wish we could have kept it. :(

Dave

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Thanks Dave anyway. It was one of the ones that I enjoyed. But I think as you say, it wasnt compatible with policy (it wasnt me was it???) lol

No, it was everybody, really. It's just not not something that we as a group need to be talking with each other about.

Cortlandt Manor, NY(Zone 6a)

Great to see Wildflowers back! I am growing many wildflowers from seed, will nice to have a forum to discuss. Thanks

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I'd love to see Grasses somewhere

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

ok - noted. thanks Dave, as always, you are looking after "our" best interest.

So should "Wild Plants" be changed to "Wildflowers and Grasses"?

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I thought grasses were good with the bamboo... like we had it. If you combine them with wildflowers won't we loose the past threads that were on the forum?

Lappeenranta, Finland(Zone 3a)

the wildflower.....forum would be great to get back....even I havent seem it ever.
now, when summer is coming and wildflower will come up.....I`d like to put pictures of Finnish wildflower, and IŽd like to see U.S.A:s, UK:s and other countryes wildflowers too.

Mcallen, TX(Zone 8a)

Actually bamboo IS considered a grass isnt it?

And please say yes to wildflowers.....I am planning
to go out in the meadows and get on my belly (no small
undertakingm that.....) and take eye-level fotos of all
the wildlings around here. And Dave, you being a Texan
KNOW how breathtaking that could be.

Poppysue: Okay, I'll bring back Grasses and Bamboo by itself, and leave Wild Plants alone.

Thanks Dave!! U Da MAN!! :o]

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Thanks, Dave! What's the worse that can happen?
