strange happenings

Brooklet, GA(Zone 8a)

this could be posted in several places but here goes. thursday morning i got an early start in the yard. around 11 am i went inside to get something to drink and a small bird flew at me in the hall way. i realized it was not my parakeet, garfield, but a lovely wild bird. it flew into several rooms and then into the bathroom. i quickley closed allthe doors except the back door and had uncle stand in the hall way so the bird could not fly from the bathroom into the kitchen area where the kitties were eating. i could see this bird behind the shower curtain. as i slowly opened the right side to try and get it to go down the hall and out the back door it disappeared. seriouly it really disappeared. i was dumb founded. i swear i had not taken any pain meds that morning. i went on into the bedroom and woke up DH tto tell him what just hapened. he got up and started getting dressed. garfield stays in our room and i had heard him singing loudly a little earlier. DHJ went to uncover garfields gage and said he is dead. I was heartbroken. i cried for hours over this dear friend. when I went to bury him he was still warm and not stiff. he had just died about the time i saw the other bird in the house. we buried him next to prince and jake in our little pet graveyard. we have not seen that other bird yet. What do you make of this?

I believe there are many mysteries we will never understand this side of heaven. This was certainly a "strange happening"~~~a mystery!

Just a thought, maybe this was to let you know that your dear little friend is truly free now and you are not to grieve too deeply (?)

WOW Janet! I don't know what I would have thought. I'm like you I would still be trying to figure that one out.
Sorry to hear about your bird though, that is awful.
So the other bird never showed itself again? You didn't see it fly out the back door? This is too strange! I don't like it when I can't explain things, know what I mean?
I guess it was a freak of nature kinda thing.
Sorry for your loss though
Keep in touch!

Did Uncle James see the bird? That is strange, yes.

Janet, the first thought that came to mind when I read about the lovely wild bird was that it was a message from spirit. So often, God speaks to us through nature, especially if we work in gardens and love the out-of-doors (as you do). It's just my opinion, but I believe that your seeing the wild bird at the time of Garfield's passing means that his soul is free and flying to Heaven, and that you were privileged to witness that very special passage. Doris says much the same thing, above.

This might be an appropriate place to share a similar story. Once, I had a small palm plant that was very sick. Nothing I did for it had any effect, and the stem was bent over and all the leaves had dropped off. For some reason, I awoke in the middle of the night to see a soft white light surrounding that palm -- and it was ablaze with life, upright and strong and glowing. I thought it had surely been healed. Eventually I drifted back to sleep, and when I awoke the palm was completely dead. I know now that I had witnessed the moment of its return to perfection in Him who made it. I believe that this is basically what you saw with Garfield and the wild bird who disappeared, and it is an experience to treasure.

noone say the bird but me but i feel like i was the only one who was suppose to see it.

Yes, that's how it seems to me, too. No one else saw my plant blaze up with light, either -- those experiences are special delivery messages from spirit!
