It will be here Tuesday

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

The Mantis tiller that is. I hope Tuesday morning because I am off work that day. I guess the house work will really go lacking now. Maybe I can just bring the tiller in and till all the junk up. New junk to the top of the pile every once in a while. Might fool folks into thinking I cleaned the house. I am just kidding of course about the house cleaning. It stays immaculate around here. LOL.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Well, it can't be as immaculate as our house, Jim. Our three dogs and two cats see to that! ;) Have fun with your new tiller - I know you will put it to good use, inside our out.

Those mantis tillers must be really tiny if mantises can use them; I mean, mantises are large for insects, but c'mon.

What a disappointed me, coming here to see if you posted any pix of the new tool, only to see the post that it was delayed. SYL

Jim, if I don't already have things in order in 3 weeks, I'm coming with the truck! LOL!!! Lordy, I do hope I have things ready in 3 weeks though, it's spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

Thats great Jim! You will love it! We got one a couple years ago and I use it constantly. If fits a lot more places than our full sized tiller.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

enjoy!!!!!!!!

Spring Hill, FL(Zone 9a)

I LOVE my Mantis...bet you will too!

DW says I can buy a Mantis this year. Our garden protocol is: I do the veggie garden and she does the flower beds. (I got the easier job) Usually we would rent a big tiller every spring. I was looking at a same priced Honda, but it was heavier and slower. Seems everyone who has a Mantis loves it. (Hope I don't really till any mantises tho, I love to watch them eat grasshoppers. Yes, I've been known to catch a hopper to feed one) Frank

O Jim!! I have to tell ya I think I have the Mantis fever! My dh borrowed his buddy's Mantis tiller today and I have had a ball with it!!! That thing is worth its weight in gold! I made me 3 new beds(2 of which we had already dug the grass out of) the 3rd was a spur of the moment thing, only because I wasn't ready to quit! I could have went on and on with that thing! Only problem was my hand kept cramping up, which the kids got a big kick out of LOL!
Needless to say we have to take it back tomorrow :( But dh did say that he would get me one before summer gets here! Yippppeeeee!
Hope you have had as much fun with your's as I have with this one!

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Well I still haven't hit the yard with it yet. Bobbie was sick last week and then I put it together Friday night and intended to get started on Saturday but came down with a throat infection and spent all week end inside. I bet it does a good job.
Thanks everyone for the comments. Jim

and now the ground is soaked!! get better Jim

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

I hope you get to feeling better soon Jim. Not to worry though that little Mantis will be there waiting on you as soon as you are able to get out and about.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

How very frustrating! I hope you feel better soon, big guy!

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Just got back from the doctor. 3 different meds so maybe I'll get there soon. Thanks everyone. tiG it just keeps on raining and seems it doesn't want to stop.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

As bad as we are hating the rain now....we are really gonna need it in a couple of months! Think HOTT SIZZLING GA SUN!! yep I can deal with a few days of rain, even if I can't get out and play in the garden for a day or two!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Jim, I sure hope they help. I promised I wouldn't complain about the weather this year, I'm trying to stick to that. we'll see how long it holds out.
