Think Positive

Bel Air, MD(Zone 6a)

Today I took my Lawn mower to have serviced for the coming season I know it will be here soon. LOL I really enjoy the outside work. I never know when to come in when I get started on a project. I am looking forward to a nice spring and summer.

It's 84 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. The bradford pears are in full bloom here, and I know that the wildflowers are right around the corner.

Today I cleaned out the pond and did some plant installations. It sure isn't hard to think positive on a day like this! :-)

Sounds very positive to me. My lawnmowers and everything else on my patio are frozen solid in about 3 inches of ice.

dave, weren't you in freezing temps just 2 weeks ago??? how fast the weather changes in your new home.

Yes, but it was a freak cold snap - very unusual according to the National Weather Service. I think we're back on regular schedule now. :)

We'll have another cold snap or two before Easter, but we're pretty much good to go after the 15th. of March! Raking up the leaves and cleaning out the beds, digging one huge new one for the Tropicals and sun worshippers!! Better keep the Ben Gay handy........the old muscles got to come out of hibernation too!! Aren't the pear trees beautiful!!

Snow just stopped, temperature has dropped to 7º. Don't look like spring here!

We had a high of 39 yesterday, but today it is sunny, blue sky and will be in the mid 60's or more...and tomorrow mid 70's! The best part is NO RAIN for the next 5 days so perhaps the ground will dry out for planting. I have over 500 onions plants that are itchin' to get in the ground, and soon it'll be pea plantin' time! Yay~!
