The Street Where You Live

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

We have lived on "Breeze-wood" Terrace, "Lands-end" Drive, "Coattail" Court (silly name) and currently we reside on "Paddington Court", like the lovable huggable British bear :~)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6a)

We live on Ramsland Way - funny we have 3 Dodge Rams! So close to you Shirley - wish we were considered a 7a. We're way up on a hill and lucky to be 6a.

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Close here too dohopp, we are in Hagerstown and I work in Frederick. Are you down toward Buckeystown?

You've come to the right place here at DG. Great folks and loads of info.

Hi I don't have a tree or a plant name but I do have Water St. I have the Kennebec River directly across the street from my place.

Spring Hill, FL(Zone 9a)

The NY street is Pennsylvania Avenue, pretty common. In Fl it's Toucan Trail...nobody seems to be able to spell "Toucan" so maybe we should get it changed to "Two Can"

Cambria, CA(Zone 10a)

Littlehawk, you must live in an awesome place. I remember the Kennebec as a magical river in a wondrous place.

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

The street where I live is called 'Vani Vilas Road'. Vani Vilas was the Queen of Mysore and she held fort courageously and successfully and saw the bad time off for a short and crucial period when the city was in trouble more than a hundred years ago. So this road, which is one of the oldest in the city was named after her. My great grandfather had purchased the site and built it from his savings from hard work in 1911. We also have this practice of putting a name to houses, usually after Gods/Godesses. Our family deity is Shiva and so one of his names 'Chandramouli' has been kept to our house. The locality name is Lakshmipuram. Nowadays, as the city is growing, the roads are being named after the politicians!!! Most of them undeservedly. Our road was tried to be renamed as Mahatma Gandhi Road, when they widened it and made a double-road 3 years ago. But the people connected to the Royal Family of Mysore severely and rightly objected to this proposition and hence the old name which the great lady deserved, was retained.

New York City, NY(Zone 6b)

Thank you Adam, they are really playing well and they are, I think, 'peaking' at the right time in the tournament.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

Crossville, TN

Nice story, Dinu. I remember a picture you posted of your house and I loved it! Jo

Grove City, OH(Zone 6a)

I live on Liberty Street. It connects to Martha Circle, which is connected to Independence Street. Another cross-street is Cherry Tree Lane. Too much? The development is called Washington Survey, in honor of the fact that his nephew did the original surveying here ;D Really! The original land deeds contain his signature. The nephew, not George.

Since I live in Grove City, a lot of the streets end in -grove: Beechgrove, Maplegrove, Brookgrove, Cedargrove. We also are an official Tree City USA.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

I live on Sioux CT., just off Cheyenne Trail in a subdivision full of Indian names like Pueblo, Chactaw, etc.
We also have Brave Ct, and Pinto trail. The Creek Indians camped all around here, and behind our house is a spring fed creek where I am sure they watered their horses. It is a hilly wooded area.
