Yesterday while putting out birdseed I thought I heard the phone ring. Once back inside,dh said there was a message on the machine from Annelise,my granddaughter who will be 3 in May. I had sent her a skirt. When I hit play there was this wee little voice saying thank you for the skirt,I have my skirt on,I love you,talk to you later,bye,bye. Before my DD hung up I could hear something else as well. Played the message again twice and called back. DD right away gave the phone to Annelise...she was soooo excited. Her skirt is BEAUTIFUL..it has flowers on it..she loves and misses me. DD got back on the phone and explained that Annelise wanted to know why Grammy didn't talk to her (what I had heard after bye,bye). DD told her she had left me a message on the machine and I would call back. Just had to play that message a few more times before deleting it. And there I stood in a puddle that was my melted heart. :-)))

Oh, Annelise really is a heart-melter! I can definitely see the resemblance between her and her mother (as pictured in the "Our Childhood Pictures" thread Rudbeckia started on the Parking Lot forum).
