Old Man Winter rolled through here with a vengence yesterday at about 2 p.m.!! We have over 4 inches of sleet, and snow on the ground. Temp is 18, wind chill 7.
Was out of comission computer wise due to Thundersnow storm. Wild!! Will try to get caught up today and post a couple of pics. They are saying we're in for more tonight.
And y'all thought Texas was all sand.......desert and beach, huh?

Eyes We didn't get anything like that only a little sleet but did not stick to the ground. Only 28 yesterday morn I guess that is cold enough to get My Bush though. It will burn all the color showing but still have a lot of buds that are not open

Eyes, that looks like my pasture! This is the first time I have ever heard the term "thundersleet", but that's exactly what the meteorologist called it. I had to unplug everything and was prepared to leave if the electricity failed. Fortunately, it just flickered the lights a few times. The storm moved through in waves, until about 12:30 A.M., when it seemed the cold air must have played out and a pouring rain fell for almost two hours. Still, this morning was frozen, looking for the world like snow until I stepped out. No, I didn't lose my footing, but it was close. The water in the cats' bowl on the back porch, which is totally enclosed but unheated, kept freezing all day, and the ice never thawed outside. No sun, just clouds and gloomy skies. I suspect it's going to be colder tonight, it just feels like it.

Northport, ME(Zone 5b)

I can't quite feel your pain. Today got up to 18 and it's below 0 now. Tomorrow may be above freezing. Still 1&1/2 feet snow on the ground. Frank

I know Max, catlady said the same thing. You got to remember I'm only 19 miles south of the Oklahoma border in the Red River Valley, and the front moved it a way it missed you in the eastern central region. Frank, we know..but this is TX and we don't ususally have anything like this,......you take care Miss Aimee!
