Oh No!

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Misquito is back ! I hate this. =(

Oh no, their vacation didn't last long -- seems like they've only been gone for a week or two!

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

Ahh yes another sign that Spring is just around the corner! I hate them too! But that is a part of having warm weather, so I can deal with them I guess.

I live in "Mosquito Heaven"

Please keep them at your place.
Thanks,
Sandy

That will teach you to live where it's warm. They won't come to around here until June! Awful big & thick then.

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

They have even been flying around here! THIS IS FEBRUARY in IDAHO for goodness sake!!!!!!!! February we are supposed to be having cold weather and blizzards and here we are having mosquitos and moths flying around. What is happening with my world???

Kim, you can hide your ears but you better get out that Deep Woods Off.

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Lol Kim - ditto, ditto!! :-)

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

We haven't had many mosquitos for last couple summers here, it's been so dry. And they come in June so they're not such a big problem. Some years, when it's wet, we've got thousands of them everywhere. In Lapland they're quite a problem and they've got moose-flies and blackflies there. In warm summers we also have lots of horseflies and moose-flies South here, and they're ugly.

Cortlandt Manor, NY(Zone 6a)

I am hoping that this extra severe winter we have had here in NY will severely diminish the mosquito supply. :)

Santa Clara, CA(Zone 9a)

We don't have a great mosquito problem here, but they are always warning us about standing water. I'd like to see them get in my birdbath, it would be food for the birds.

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

They never left here this year because it has been such a mild winter. Pesty irratating creature!

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

i always say that the only good thing about winter is no mosquitos. :) i visited my brother in colorado last year, guess what? no mosquitos. i couldn't believe it, but then they are semi arid country.
do mosquitos love any one else the way they love me. put a dozen people outside and they will all come to me and i'll be going inside to get away from the lol. now i have a screened porch and i can sit outside all night and they can't bother me. :)

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Debi_Z, I would love for you to walk around with me all summer, as my skeeter filter. I do believe they sit and wait in ambush for me. I can just hear them talking among themselves, like the old troll under that bridge, waiting for the big one to come along. I'm evidently the big one they waited for, because just as soon as I step outside, ZAP! I've tried repellants and Avon and all the things people swear by, to no avail.

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

They used to leave me alone but when I went on medication for my fibromyalgia they now like me, A LOT. :(

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Geez, fibes or skeeters, take your pick! I am so lucky, I have both.

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

Then add in the buffalo gnats that we get when the winter has been too warm and you have lots of fun dodging bugs all summer. Stop this summer!!! I wanna get out of it before it (summer) happens!!!!

Penfield, NY(Zone 6a)

Ponditis, it was 1 degree this morning and 4 degrees a couple of hours ago. I'm planning on going for a walk in a few. Please don't wish for summer to delay. I can't wait. I use those mosquito dunks in my rain gutters and change bird bath water frequently and keep grass mowed short in the damp part of the yard.

What kind of med are you on for fibro? My doc says he thinks I have it but I am doubtful. He put me on Celebrex. Odd, I thought but it has helped with sleep and hip pain. I'm a new DG member. Hope my questions aren't out of line.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

They are back!!! Yesterday I killed one! Spring's here and they are getting around! Warm temp come up! Grrrrrr!!!
