My daughter Juliette, just found out yesterday that she has been moved up to the Varsity track team (she is a Freshman and has never competed before). Her first track meet is today, after school. I'm hoping to sneak out of work a little early so I can see her run. I'm so excited!!

I was able to get there to see her in the 50 yard dash, she was in a relay event earlier that I missed. She placed 2nd in the dash, she is the fastest sprinter at her school. Next meet is on Saturday. I was really surprised at the frequency of competitions, twice a week, plus 2-3 hours daily practice after school. She really enjoys it, even though it has cut into her time with friends.
