The very first garden type site I ever went to was called Garden Town.com. A lady named Judy and her husband Gary seemed to be the founders, webmasters, etc. Later I moved to Garden Web but left there a couple or 3 years ago. Recently I attempted to find Garden Town but have not been able to do so. I have noticed that Kitchen Table which I think was a link between GT & GW going strong. Does anyone here know if there still is a GT? I remember some of the people and think of them often. Like GW, GT was becoming quite antiChristian. At that time GW wasn't like that. I have often wondered if KT moving in as part of GW had an influence on Spike and his attitude toward Christians about the time some of us left and came to DG.

Leaflady, all I can tell you that Garden Town, per se, is gone. Anywhere you find a link to its site, it is defunct. I didn't discover gardening online until GT was gone, so I can't tell you anything about its founders, or where they might have gone.

I also can't speak to the second part of your question :)

Leaflady, it's now justgardeners.com. Not anti Christian, but they do lean towards the left.

I remember GT too. I didn't find it to be very friendly. I did make one very good friend there and we kept up with each other until her husband died about a year and a half ago. I did not visit that site too much and soon moved on to GW. Pretty much left there too, but still have my lists there and check in from time to time. Funny how we grow and change, huh?
