Can't help it part Deux

Valrico, FL(Zone 9b)

I didn't want to take away from Dinu's limelight, so I had to post this in a new thread.

We recieved a nice, and unexpected plug last week. Note the credits and "thanks to"

Almost makes me hope she doesn't have to do any jail time.

That's just great!!

Yay, good for you guys! :) I love that concept, "buried treasures" - great name.

Buried Treasures: Welcome to DG'S and you have a very nice site and name.

Valrico, FL(Zone 9b)

Thank you.

I've been in and around the horticultural industry since I was about 4. On-line for nearly 10 years. Just found DG. Seems to be a very nice and eclectic community.

The Buried Treasures name is something I'm kind of proud of, since I came up with it, and have absolutely no creative ability. Got lucky.

Chris

Oh, and if anyone can show me how to link a picture I upload, it would be greatly appreciated. NOTHING I seem to do works.

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Hey, Chris, welcome to Dave's! Are you trying to post a pic to the thread?

Thanks Weezingreens,

Not necesarily in this thread, but in general. I maintain a large database for our main company, and have seen a lot in the PDB that need images. No luck so far.

Hi again, Chris -- For info on uploading photos, see this http://davesgarden.com/j/vbc/gardenwife/5250/ and click the "How to Upload a Picture in a Forum Post" link. Hope that helps!

Valrico, FL(Zone 9b)

Hmmm. I've read that and tried several times, and nothing happens. I'm going to try a 9k Eucrosia with this one. Let's see.

Nope. Nothing

What kind of picture is it?

File is named eucrosia.jpg

This is it from the site, it's just not pulling off my hard drive.

Let's see.

Are you sure it is on your hard drive? How are you trying to upload it? Do you click the browse button and then locate the file on your drive, or are you copying and pasting the location into the field?

Dave

Valrico, FL(Zone 9b)

Ah. Not copying and pasting.

I hit browse, find it on the drive, then hit send. I wonder if Win2k or my antivirus software is an issue.

You're trying to upload an html file. :) Try uploading the jpg file itself.

Welcome to Dave's Buried treasures. You've found the best site in the galaxy....
I look forward to seeing all your pictures now that you have learned how to upload.

Valrico, FL(Zone 9b)

Thanks for the welcome.

I'll have a look around the database and see where I can help. I have about 6 gigs worth of plant images, so I'm sure I'll find one or two to use.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

I would imagine so BT, the challenge will be choosing form among all of them to find the ones you want to post...
You can post some in the photo forum too just to give us something to drool over while we are waiting for spring...

Welcome Buried Treasures to DG, and congratualtions on getting some notice through the ubiquitous Stewart publicity machine. A guy I know who was on her show (Japanese carpenter), was deluged by work after a visit to his studio. Hope you get the same benefits.

Adam.

PS: Don't worry about having trouble learning the inscrutable ways of this site. I'm convinced Dave makes it intentionally hard (just kidding) ;~)
