Just ONE great goal

smiln32's daughter, Bethany, has been working hard to raise money for the American Heart Association, but is about $100 short of her $1,000 goal. How about if 20 of us each contact smiln32 and send $5 to help out? I pledge mine now, so that narrows it down to 19 garden friends.

Mine will go out tomorrow! My DD tried to raise $$ for the heart Assn when she was a senior in college. She was jumping rope for X number of hours and broke a small bone in her foot!! She graduated with a cast and crutches! Don't remember how much she raised - but it is a good cause.

Evert we just can't keep somethings secret around here. lol

One thing that is not a secret is that Evert is a careing young man.

I could be one.....

I think we have seven on this thread who have offered to send in a donation. The only thing is that we are supposed to turn in the money on Tuesday of next week, so we don't have a lot of time. I'm not sure how long it would take the mail to get to us from you, Mitjo. I could turn other donations in at a later time and they would still go to the American Heart Association, though, so whatever you would like to do is fine.

just got it....thanks.. I was afraid I had deleted the first one and I guess I did, ........ I get so much junk I go thru and hit delete for 5 minutes every morning.

Smiln, I'd be glad to help ya out but I'm paying for DD and neighbor kids to do the same thing here. (Our school's "jump for heart" must run a little later than yours.) Please tell Bethany we're rooting for her!

It never occured to me that different schools would have them at different times, but I guess that makes sense.

It's amazing to me that Bethany's school is No. 1 in the state of Alabama for raising money for the American Heart Assocation. It's not the biggest school, by any means. They just seem to light a fire under the kids, I guess.

Well, and the principal said she'd kiss a pig if they beat last year's grand total. :)
