it was probably from a place you just left. When I go to People magazine, and then close, I get one a few seconds later. Dave doesn't have pop-ups.

It isn't from Dave's, Eyes. Do you have Windows XP or Windows 2000? I haven't gotten popups, but have gotten like nano second somethings. Like a popup that was shot down just in time. Does that make sense?

Sometimes if you click on a hyperlink to another site that has pop ups and then leave that site you may get a delayed popup from THAT site. DG has no popups thank goodness.

Liz, do you have any pop-up killer software installed? That would explain a pop-up only appearing for a split second and then disappearing. Also if you use a browser with some sort of pop-up stopping available, it could be that closing them.
