DH and I are going to be there for just a few days-March 6th-9th; Is there anything worth seeing or doing there? Suggestions of good eateries?
Thank You

Will you have a car, or are you flying in and using a taxi or shuttle? If you will have a car, you really should plan on going to the Smokies (mountains) - well worth the hour or so to get there from K'ville. Gatlinburg, Cades Cove etc. are beautiful.
We haven't lived there for ~20 years, so I can't tell you about restaurants, other than there were some really good ones back then.
Mexican restaurant = La Paz on Kingston Pike.
Chinese restaurant = Mandarin House - voted best for many years - behind West Towne Mall.
I agree with GoVols about going to Cades Cove. It's a beautiful place and you will likely see herds of deer and of course, horses and cows. Maybe even a lone bear...
The University of TN Agriculture/Horticulture department has really really nice gardens to explore, but I don't know how much will be growing in March.
Here's a website of things to do in Knoxville:
http://www.see-tennessee.com/cities/knoxville/knoxville_to_dos.htm Just remember there is more than that, but only those who bought the ad space are listed on that site.
Here's a website from the Chamber of Commerce:

Have fun!
Cade's Cove is wonderful! :)
don't take the shortcut behind cades cove if you go there..I am giving you very good advice....please believe me...if anyone even suggests you take the shortcut...RUN AWAY...FAST!
Thanks so much for all the advice; will report back after we have been there.
