Canadian gardens

RA49, it is still a beautiful picture. Wheez, do try. You have better conditions for growing a sang than I do because we get so hot and I'm still trying. I have lots of the others and I just take cuttings of them and hold them over. I can't wait to see a post from you when you get a sang to bloom. Your excitement will be hard to contain.

Ok, how do I get started? Will they grow from seed?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Liz said to email her. She probably has sang seeds. She is a sweetie and can give you all kinds of information on growing them. Good luck.

Would it be "politically incorrect" for you to name this forum "Canadian Club" ?!

If I may ask....why are brugs so popular? Forgive me, but I had never heard of them before joining Dave's Garden. Do they smell good or is it their beauty that makes them so desirable? Liz, do you have any sang seeds left? Thanks !

A little bit of summer from south of the border....

Liz and RA49,
Thank you both for your kindness. We can't wait to get started. (But Shhhhhh, we are still curious about the brugs wonderful appeal.)
Thanks again!

Well then take a look at this - these are just some of the new ones created last year by some of the brug hybridizers right here on daves.

They smell so good that when you don't have the fragrance due to being between bloom flushes, you can hardly take it. The fragrance comes out in the early evening and last through the night. Versicolor Orange is the only one I know of that carries a faint scent during the day.

Sorry about the quality of the picture. It has been resized to many time..... :-)

She's a sweetheart, root. And you're a lucky guy to have a daughter who will stop her busy life to have her picture taken with a plant.
Anyone else noticing that it's taking a while to load the pictures on this thread? We really have been overloading it - lol.

Yes I just had to put one in there, couldn't let you all have all the fun.She hated having her picture taken to tell the truth ,she was waiting for the school bus.

This is a good thread Liz. Maybe start another one that is a continuation of this one? I've enjoyed butting into your Canadian thread. Just tell me to go home when you get tired of me....
