Do you beleive in new year resolutions?

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

Come New Year, some people are found to chart out 'resolutions'. They make a big show about them. But by February, they are back to 'normal'!! I personally do not make any resolutions and of the opinion that our basic behaviour and attitude to society is the crux of the matter. No matter if we resolve or not, acheiving targets happens. Why should January 1 be selected?

The only resolution I make is:
I will NOT make any resolutions.

(Hmmm...I guess by saying that it means I just made one, so apparently I've already broken it, eh?)

Oh well.... τΏτ

Hahaha shoe that is too funny. I actually don't make "New Years" resolutions, but something I did find fun to do was make a list with 101 goals I would like to accomplish in my life 1 year from the date they are written. Its not something to "keep" for the year, but something to have accomplished within a year. Just a diff idea, but its alot nicer knowing I don't have to start doing it right away and have 1 year to accomplish things on it.

Dinu, did you see our voting booth question this week? I guess we all had the same thought in mind (grin).

I do like resolutions, although I don't believe I have to wait until January 1 to begin. But on the other hand, it seems like a good time to "start anew" and resolve to do (or not do) some things during the coming months.

Now to get busy on my journal, as I promised myself I would! Remember, it takes 21 days to make (or break) a habit - which means by the end of January, our resolutions should be firmly ingrained :)

go-vols, I just saw the voting booth statistics. Nice to feel that many people are in the same boat! I am of the opinion that if we start doing a thing, it should be done with utmost involvement and achieve the target. There is no point in leaving things mid way. If that is the case, do not begin it at all. Due to other pressures these days, many people perhaps are finding difficulties in keeping up promises.
