For anyone I missed, Merry Christmas

This has been a year of confusion for my mind. I just don't remember who was where when. So I thought I would post a general greeting instead of trying to remember who was already greeted.

To all of you here, I send wishes for the best and most blessed season ever. May you all enjoy a holiday from the cares of life, and may it continue through the coming year to bring you joy.

The big day is over, and I sit here in my attic room alone with the puter. It's cold outside, and I don't have much heat on inside, as I planned to go to bed hours ago. I came to this post, almost didn't because it was on the second page. I read the responses which had been posted since I turned the puter off for the trip south. And suddenly I felt overwhelmed. I have never seen one of you in person, but you are indeed a huge part of my daily life. It brought a lump to my throat to read so much warmth. You have never asked me if I'm fat or thin, if my skin is the same color as yours, if I believe in the same things you believe in, what kind of car I drive, how fine my house is. You just opened your hearts and let me enter. You offer congratulations when I triumph, sympathy when I struggle, prayers when I'm ill, encouragement when I'm blue. You are the flowers in the garden of my heart. You are the sunshine in my meadows. You are the dew on the petals of our friendship. Like the seeds and bulbs and seedlings we plant, I require the nurturing and warmth I find here, if I am to reach the next stage of my growth, and you supply it so abundantly. It truly is a wonderful life when it's filled with friends like you. Happy new year, my friends.

Wonderful, wonderful words, Aimee.. all strung together like precious pearls. We're a garden family here, and as with all families, we can vex one another at times, but we sure circle the wagons when any one of us needs a kind word or a good laugh. My New Year wish is that, like you, all of us feel the warmth and spread it out to others.
