We have a 'real' Santa living right here in Lewisville. This friend of mine lets his hair and beard grow for a few months before Christmas. He then 'plays' Santa for numerous families in the area. He only goes from 6:30 to 8:30 Christmas Eve. This man is so real looking, that last night, a little 5 year old girl that he visited last year was talking to him at a local function. He was not dressed as Santa, but she still beleived he was the one. She asked where his red shirt was, he told her he had to keep it clean for Christmas Eve. Much fun when the little ones can keep their beleifs. One little boy last year, when he stopped at their house, can up to him, tugged on his bread, and explained to his mother, "Ma we have the real one this year!"
I will post his picture as soon as I get one taken.
Anyone else have good stories on santa helpers?
It would be fun to hear the stories.
Merry Christmas!

Santa
My DH is a Big Man with an ex-weightlifters fallen chest. He use to sport a very long full beard and a fringe of curly
almost white hair. We were in line at a lunch counter one summer and a little girl about 4 years old was in line ahead of us. She would peek around her dad and then shyly hide. As we got seated she came running over and hopped up on his lap. "Santa, can you get me a baby this year" she asked. DH started laughing very deep and told her "you can have a baby this year but it will get there early" You see her mom ran after her but was moving kinda slow because she was VERY pregnant! LOL that was one happy little girl and I wonder if after all these years she still thinks babies come from Santa!
Our friends have friends that play Mr. & Mrs. Claus and I had the privilage of escorting them to my friends church where they were having their family Christmas. Mr. & Mrs Claus made their transformation at my home. I'm not kidding they really changed after putting on the Santa and Mrs. Claus's outfits. They went into the church very quietly and when they enetered the room all the kids just stared at them then they got all excited and loud and within a few seconds they "(Santa and the Mrs.)" had them all quiet and sitting in a circle around them. Ha ha ha the funny part was they had to keep asking the parents to be quiet. That's my Santa story.
the story of my oldest girl finding out there was no santa is really cute. we were coming home from shopping one day when she was about 7 yrs ol and her sister who was 2 was in the back seat. all of a sudden she asked "mama where does santa get all those toys". after a few moments i answered her "the elves make them for him". well that did not impress her at all. she turned in the seat with hands on her hip and said in a very seriopus voice "do I look stupid or what?" after laughing my self to death i told her we would have a talk when we go home.
