from uncle james

he wanted me to tell all of you here that he is doing good. that he really feels the love and prayers from all of you. it has been a long haul trying to get his camper finished. with dh back and all abut it is getting ever closer. i think he was suppose to be here in our home for christmas morning. he is going to have such a good christmas. my sister, brother, and james's brother got together and got him two gifts he has really been wanting. a telescope and a guitar. we found a truly lovely guitar at the flea market for 25.00 brand new oin the box. it is really a nice one and he does play some. my sister found him a telescope at wal mart for 45.00 so all of us pitched in them more than me and got them for him. he is really going to be supprised. he wanted me toaske if anyone has any extra stamps he can get for his collection. he is on a breathing treatment machine 4 times daily now but is still doing rather good. hopefully he stopped smoking in time to add a few years to his life. anyway he says merry christmas to all of you and happy new year.

Oh, how pleased I am to see your post! I was thinking about you for the last several days and hoping you and your family were doing well. Please thank Uncle James for his Christmas wishes and tell him what an honor it is to pray for him, and how uplifting it is to see how God has worked in his life. Please tell him what a great accomplishment it is for him to have quit smoking. He will feel better and better as he moves farther away from that habit.

A telescope and a guitar are wonderful presents! It is so important for health and overall well-being to remain interested in things and to have beauty in our lives -- what could be better than to observe the changing sky, and be able to make music?

God bless you and each member of your dear family, all your loved ones and furbabies at Christmas and throughout the year.

I wish I could be there next summer, when I just know Uncle James will be plunking away on that guitar under the stars. Nothing like listening to a picker while sitting around in the evening cool. Christmas hugs to Uncle James, and tell him I'm already working on a new packet of stamps for him. I forgot what I sent so there might be duplicates.
