Yesterday I was in an accident. Was behind a pick up truck with Mexico License. He started pulling over to the right shoulder....still straddling the line, when all of a sudden he proceeds to make a U-turn right in front of me. I took to the left and blared the horn....thinking he would stop....NOPE...we hit on the front bumpers. He got a citation. BUT wonder of wonders....he had insurance!!
The reason he was making the U-turn? He missed a yard sale sign and was going back to hit it.
I had one passenger with me, and 2 ladies in another car stopped as witnesses. Now I have to go through the repairs...and getting a loaner. Jo
WHAM!!!
Jo, Sorry to hear about that, I hope that you are OK. It is a hassle when this happens-even with insurance-it does not make up for the shock, loss of time and energy -esp. at this time of year. I am glad about the insurance and the witnesses, hopefully you can get your wheels back soon.
Sorry to hear about it and glad you and ur friends are OK!
Jo,thank goodness you didn't have any injuries. You really have to watch people and yard sales. Can't say I've ever seen anyone do a u turn but they're forever stopping right in front of you without any signal whatsoever.
Sorry, so glad you all did not get hurt thank goodness.
Good grief! That guy musta not had a rear view mirror or something!
Glad you're okay tho. (Hope you didn't let on that friends call you "Roadrunner"! That may not look too good in court!)
Oh, Roadrunner, I am so glad you are OK!!!!!!!!
((( hugs ))) and safe driving!!!!!
Glad no one was hurt. Them doggone yard sales are bad news!
LOL. Been trying to tell DW that for years.
Oh my goodness. OUCH! I'm sorry to hear about this. Even tho you say nobody was hurt the sore places sometimes show up a day or two later. Shoe, you must be thinking of RumRunner!
Hey Jo! Good to hear you weren't hurt. Our side road comes off a 4 lane highway with a 65 MPH limit. One lady told me one time,"Sure is hard to make that turn at 80 MPH." Coming from the west you have about 1 block to slow and turn after you can first see our antique store sign.
Take it easy!
Bernie
Jo, I am sorry to hear this. I'm so glad that no one was hurt and you are doing okay.

Jo, So happy to hear you weren't hurt. It could have been much worse.Hope you get your car back soon.
As usual I am the last one to know but I'm glad your guardian angel was watching over both cars and that you are ok, but how is your ankle that was already sprained? You know you are too slow for this :"fast lane" traffic!!!! haaha...love you much!! Sis Mary
Oh Jo...I'm so glad you are ok and no one was hurt. Whew! Thank you God!
Jo I am so glad nobody was hurt. They better get you a loaner car quick or you will lose your roadrunner name. ((JO))
WELLLLLLL....this being without a car might not be so bad after all....One guy took me sightseeing and to dinner today...and another one is taking me to work tomorrow...call GEICO and tell them to take their time on that loaner...LOL
lol I should have known you would come out ahead on this, all the guys falling at your feet.lol
Jo, you are getting a lot of male attention here of late. Glad you are ok, Cousin Shirley
I'm so glad no one was injured. Hope your car gets on the road soon.
Oh no! I'm so sorry you have to go through all this. I am very thankful that nobody was hurt though.
"he was going bvack to hit it"
as in run over the sigh or go to the sale
Well, I thought you didn't drive! Honestly, I think you are turning back the clock and getting younger, with all that attention and such. I believe you could turn your own hanging into a party!
hey girl,
hope your ok.. long time no hear!
Hey, Wonder! Been missing you!
Sounds like you may have found a new way to get dates! And the nice part is that the type of guy that will think to help you out in a jam like this is the kind that is caring and kind...so maybe you should call geico and tell them to forget that loaner ;~)
Glad to hear you're not hurt JO, but what a sneaky way to get your man ;-)
*ducking*
Wintermoor
oh my goodness Jo! thank heaven you werent hurt!!! I sure hope they had some good things at the sale-did you get anything-LOL
Good luck with the car! ;]
Oh Jo, Glad you are ok. Just let them guys drive you around.
I wasn't at the yard sale...and he missed the road to turn off for it and was going to go back to buy up everything before someone else did. LOL No, the Mexicans that live across the border here comes and buy everything you have for sale...EARLY....so yard saleing here is an early thing...or nothing to buy. They take it back to Mexico and sell it....good business. I was at our little communtiy Christmas Parade...pictures to follow.
Thanks for all your well wishes!
(Wintermoore...what ever works...we old ladies need a little help!) Jo
'Glad you're okay, Jo! :-)
Jo, I have been outta circulation (internet-wise) for most of a week, and was shook up when I read this thread. But you are making a lemonade from the lemon (situation).
Sooo glad you are doing O.K. and sorry about your car.
See ya soon, (guests have gone.)
JO, What a fright you must have had! I hope you behaved just as Maxine would have in such as situation! Glad all are safe, but your poor car! Take care and where are you stacking all these men?????
Cleaning out the shed for the overflow!LOL Jo
rr, glad you were not hurt, but it is still an upsetting experience. I thought this thread was going to be about George Michael! Take care, and Happy Holidays! Hugs, John
