oh yeah, a picture where I look half dead! LOL! that makes it better! LOLOLOL!!!

It seem so long ago
that the summer was strong
and the sun as a fire beside our heads
and when the moon were blue, the nights were young.

We thought that this was beautiful.
We felt so strong and free,
but as the moon increased her Kingdoms foot
flowers decreased to a memory.

Now the nights are cold and long,
and we got to hold on
as the small electric dots on a computer screen
hold on to shape of Peach`N`Creme
and hit our eyes through the distance of the web
and silently form a forsaken:"Yep!"
Here`s flowers, the baby and our friend.
Yes! summer will reach us once again. :)

Spring and the hot summer will be here before all of you know it. Enjoy the extra time that you now have to do those thngs that you didn't have time to do this summer and even get a little rest . . . if that is possible. Spring will be here before you know it and all the gardens will be beautiful again with new life.

Bay City, MI(Zone 5a)

Tonny, is that your poem? i like it.
tootsie, i think the camera forum is a good place to look up cameras.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

thanks for the pictures and encouragement! still thinking one day I might just have to move south! Brugnanny, are you telling me to clean my house??? LOL!!!
Usually I don't mind this early in the winter but it's been colder than usual and I can't get outside to make it look a little better. ugh! need to get me a sunshine light to go in this corner!! and I wake up and find my old dead picture in the newsletter!!! argh. PJ and dave, watch out, I'll get you...and you little dog too! LOL!!

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Sorry - Tig, I didn't enlarge it before I posted, so thought it was better than it was. I thought seeing little Emily would cheer you up!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

lol!!! yep, gonna get you (actually, I'm going to get into your bathroom and see what you use to look so young)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Bonnie, there is nothing wrong with that picture at all and the banana is beautiful, as are the rest of the flower beds. Frannie is right. It won't be long. Well for those of you in in the SE,S,and W. The midwest is a different story. If the weather is good, I can usually plant around the first to the middle of May. That is a long time yet.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

we did so many improvements in our yard this year. I really can't wait until spring to get back out there.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Very nice spot!your hard work shows, nice looking nana.
Jonesin in Kansas too!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Tig . . you are funny . . .no I was not implying that you should clean your house but someone could come and help me clean mine!

Cortlandt Manor, NY(Zone 6a)

Tig - I can't wait either, this year I put in lots of early spring bulbs so I don't have to wait as long as I did last year. I think that picture is great too - - boy - - your garden's are all so lush! What is that big plant you are standing by - E.E.? I wish I were just a zone or 2 further south - and could grow all those tropicals! I am going to try a few this year - but of course , will have to overwinter them next year.

Tig, you look fine and your gardens look wonderful. It's been pouring here for days and 100 km/hour winds. I'm not enjoying this much. We all need sunshine.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Alyssum, that's a zebrina banana that I got from gone2seed. It loves water and food just like the brugs. It got to about 9' and had 3 or 4 flowers on it, and baby bananas, it was awesome to grow. I can't keep most things in the ground, but they are too good not to go to some extra trouble for.
Jeanne, it's damp and dark here too and it doesn't help!!

Maybe we all need a virtual trip to somewhere warm and hot. Shall I pick you up on the way to the Caribean, maybe Monika, Ludger and Tonny can meet us there. How does that sound?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oh, please!!! have me back for Christmas day, but what a holiday that would be!!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Don't leave me behind!! Even tho it was warm enough today to wash windows, I'd love to go back to the Virgin Islands or the Bahamas for a visit. Would love it more if I was young and single.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Sorry but you will have back again next spring =) that pix so pretty and granddaughter too.

tiG, your gardens are beautiful So so pretty.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

thanks y'all and remember, a picture a day makes the blues go away!!!

Cortlandt Manor, NY(Zone 6a)

Oh - it's a banana tree! Wow - it is really amazing - I will have to do a bit a research and find me one of those for next year. Another way to ease the blues . . .
stock up until there is no room left! (my DH will be soon dying for spring to come as well! LOL)

Alyssum, there is a banana co-op going on the co-op forum. Might want to try them.

Cortlandt Manor, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Tig - beautiful photo. I really like the sweet potato planted underneath. Nice combination :) I'll have to try that next year.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

be careful with them!!! they took over, really. I'd cut them back and the next week they were out in the yard again. this picture was maybe June or so, that bed got full to the limit. We aren't going to use sweet potatoes next year, they grow like weeds. we're trying to think of something else that would give that same look.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Purple Heart works well for a border and loves the sun.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

the one thing about potato vine its it's easy to get 200 starts real quick. and with all my beds, I need something like that.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Beautiful little girls. Kids or grandkids? The peonies are beautiful too.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oh Alyssum, that is a great picture, what cuties!!!

Cortlandt Manor, NY(Zone 6a)

The peonies were all there when we moved here 1 1/2 yrs ago. I really enjoyed them. Sorry no tropicals yet, thanks to CC I have 4 pink brugs that are rooting quite nicely, I also did get in on the co-op and am getting 2 kinds of Banana's.

Sweet little girls , and beautiful Peonies..Love the colour..this pic really put a grin on my face and took me back to spring.
Thanks

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Alyssum, I just found that if I'm going to grow tropicals, I just treat them as annuals. Some i can overwinter, some I can't, but it sure was a great summer!!!
