Play game on computer???
My favorite is "Solitaire"
What is your favorite most?
i play solitaire too. i just downloaded cribbage game i am learning to play.
Collapse, it's a Shockwave game, like Tetris.
LOL. Now we all know what everyone does in there spare time.
You all gave yourselves away now.
I haven't played one single game on the computer. Just can't sit long enough to do something like that.
I love MahJong, preferably with some good rock CD
Haven't played with computed for ages... My favourite games which I've played have been Carmageddon 2, GTA (1 & 2), Wings, Molez, and Liero. :)
I love to play games on the computer, especially word games.
On www.pogo.com , I play Word Whomp, Poppit, Animal Ark and Tumble Bees.
On http://www.netives.com/Games/index.njsp , I love to play marbles and speedmarbles.
Donna
I love word games too Donna. Haven't seen those - i'll have to go and have a look :)
well, I haven't played anything in a long time, but last night, during my DG time, well, it wasn't up. and I wasn't into working on my files like I should have, so I just goofed. loved it though
spider solitaire
I don't play everyday only get bored or nothing to do then play also checker too. :-)
i am seldom mudded in it,
because i often scold DS for that.):
Philomel,
You play Mah Jong on puter(here we call Majiang)?
No need to date,MJ was native to our China.):
Here almost every person knows how to play it.
Four persons sitting around a square table,
the gam game begins --
Bar1,Pie2,Wan3,Wind North...
Wonder how you call the little dominoes?
I don't play any games as my neck and back can't take the time in the chair even though I have a good chair. Also my wrists get tired.
That's a shame Pond :(
Jianhua, I think they're called tiles. And I've never played Majiang properly, just as a solitaire on the puter.
Would love to learn all about it - but there never seem to be enough hours in the day etc for all the things I'd like to do.......
Anyway I don't have another 3 people to play with :(
Majiang is a demon.
Once you are addicted to it,
it is hard to pull legs out.
In order to pass our spare time,
sometimes DW and I play 'Jumping Chess'
(many little glass balls on the board).
Yes, checkers or similar :) I like that too - and backgammon, do you know that one?
There are many games I like, but lately I like online jigsaw puzzles. One site loves to give some free time away to try to get you addicted and then make them unavailable. So far I have been able to resist buying anything. It does take awhile to download on my slow puter. anyway, does anyone else play any games offered at realarcade?
I have logged many hours of Mah Jong/Majiang.
I prefer slow moving games... more relaxing for me.
Jianhua, here your jumping chess game is called Chinese Checkers. It is played with marbles which you describe as little glass balls. I love to play that game but only with a live person. I learned it in Taiwan when I was a small child. I used to know how to play majiang but have forgotten. I am not much of a game player as I was always busy with something else and never had time to learn games that you would sit down to. I am still that way although a good jigsaw puzzle is nice to do about once every three years. :) Then I have to let my neck get well again. :(
Yes,what i referred to is somewhat
like the checkers and backgammon.
as a matter of fact,i am not fond of
games.i regard myself as a bookworm.):
Since i got the puter,
the number of my playing games on it
added up to less than twenty times.
I play cards, Hearts, Spades, and so on, but my favorites are word games..I mostly play Wordox, and Scrabble..
larkie
Jianhua
Yes I know how addicting the real Mah Jong can be. While my DH was in the Air Force, I used to play every Friday at the Officers Club with other wives. We played "Wright-Patterson" rules with their own book of patterns. Almost all military plays this book. I tried to find a Mah Jong group when we retired to this area, and I did find one, but they played a different set of rules and I just never persued it further.
The Mah Jong that I find in the games on the computer, are different again and I can't get interested in them.
Donna
Now WAIT A MINUTE! You mean me and Alex Trebek are the only two people in the western hemisphere who play the INCLUDED WITH WINDOWS spider solitaire?? C'mon fess up!
I like the spider solitaire but I really like the jigsaw puzzles. I love real jigsaw puzzles, but it's hard to leave a table with a puzzle on it when you have a kittie.
I like Free Cell.
Kiki....I have never heard of spider solitare. Where do I find it?
Donna
It's included with windows versions 2000,ME and later. Before that the free cell version of solitaire was the "thing". If you have a late version of windoze it will be in the games folder. Alex Trebek happened to mention a couple times on Jeopardy that he plays it. I like free cell also but you can "win" every hand at that...not so with spider solitaire.
I used to play the games at gamesville.com. I haven't for a while, but they were fun and you played against everyone else online who was playing and you could win money. I think I'll have to check that site out again soon, but it's so addicting.
I also like Monopoly, but I haven't reloaded it since I reformatted the computer.
Slingo here.
Kiki,
Ok, I found the spider solitare last nite and it sure was different. I read the rules, but it doesn't give you everything, so the first game was a trial run. But guess what, I WON the 2nd game. I couldn't believe it...is the scoring at the end always the same, or does it change depening on the amount of moves or what?
Thanks for telling us about that game.
Donna
The score is higher the less moves you take to complete the game. I think the current "record" at our house is 1182
I get addicted to a game and play it untill I cant stand it anymore. Then months will go by without me playing anything.
The worst ones were, Sim City, The Sims and Super Collaps.
Now I'm too busy "playing" DG to have any time left for games.
