New feature in newsletter - feedback?

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

For those of you who get the DG newsletter, what do you think of having the new Botanary terms included? Dave surprised me - I had casually suggested it to him, and he immediately implemented it :)

I'd like to hear your feedback on whether it's helpful, interesting, etc (or not!) and if you find a term that looks "iffy" feel free to email me. Occasionally we get email when someone notices an inaccuracy with a term's pronunciation or definition - I'd rather have a member here alert me to a problem before the general public spots it :)

Hmmmm...for some reason I didn't get my newsletter today. Also just went to the onsite newsletter link and got a blank page.

'shoe, this probably wasn't the best day to ask my question (I think the newsletter was affected by whatever disaster befelled DG overnight!) But if you go back a day or two, you'll see some examples :)

Whewww...did it! Thanks. (I was beginning to think my puter wouldn't accept pics again. Didn't like that when it happened once!)

Very good, I like the feature!

Bumping this back up for two reasons:

1) There have been dozens of views of this thread, but only one comment (excluding the dialogue between 'shoe and myself.) I'm not sure what that means: do y'all hate it and are too polite to say anything? (Remember, I'm asking for feedback, which means I'll take the good with the bad!)

2) Some well-meaning soul is entering a SLEW (30-80) of new terms late each night (at least late for me.) It's wonderful to have the new words, but I'm pleading for some relief. I spent 3+ hours yesterday scrambling to try to complete the terms that had been added late Saturday/early Sunday, much to my family's chagrin (they really wanted to get the tree decorated :)

Even with my efforts, you'll notice that in today's newsletter, about half of the terms have pronunciations and definitions that are formatted in a standard way. Then there are many more terms that have no pronunciations and some of the definitions are incomplete - those were added after I finished my cleanup efforts (around 10 pm CT)

So here's my plea - if you're adding to Botanary:

a) Add the complete entry, including pronunciation;
b) Focus on genus and species names that are already in the Plants Database (there are still many un-defined genus and species there.)
c) If you are adding some incomplete ones, only add a few at a time - and let me know that you've added them. That way I can try to research them and get them "ready for viewing" in the newsletter. It will reflect better on DG and the members if the newsletter isn't incomplete :)
