Do you know what size this is??

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

This has nothing to do with flowers! LOL But I wanted to order my son a toy motor grader for Christmas and the only ones I found say "1:50 scale" Now here's the question... Is this like a small car you can hold in the palm of your hand or is it like a big toy that he can really play in the dirt with?? I have found several but I don't want to pay big $$ for a tiny tiny toy. Can anyone help me out here I am clueless!!

Hmm, I think that means 1" is equal to 50"; so if something is just over 4 feet in real life, it would be about an inch in miniature. I am guessing he could hold it in his hand. John

A 1:24 scale car is about 9 inches long. 1:50 is about 1/2 as long. So a construction machine of 1:50 Would look normal next to a 4-5 inch car.

a little bit bigger than Hot Wheels.

That's what I was afraid of!!!! The one I wanted to order is $29.00 and I thought that if it was a normal size toy it would be worth it, but I can't see paying that much for a hot wheel size car! What am I going to do now??!! He wanted a Motor Grader to play in the dirt with...he likes moving dirt in the old garden. It's getting so close to Christmas and the stores just don't have it!!! Guess I'll have to wait until next Christmas :(

Notmartha, why not adopt one from a shelter or one that is advertised for free in your local newspaper? Much less expensive as a rule. Tho not always.

Molly, I think what you are looking for is made by Tonka in a good size for real dirt playing. I still have two dump trucks that were my son's when he was small. They have stood the test of time well. I still see what you want in discount stores around here as well as the hardware store having one albiet more money. Good luck.
