I can't decide ...

Grove City, OH(Zone 6a)

I have been (very privately) asked to take over our Herb Garden Web page maintenance and editing. It would probably be similar to what Go_Vols does here. Right now it would be maybe 20 minutes every month. I am afraid of how much time it might take in the future, though.

I asked Dave and his co-workers how this place came to be, to try to help me figure out if the new Web site might end up being more than what is currently planned. I don't want to give up my limited computer time to a new task that might lead to my having to abandon this one, though.

I am not the only volunteer with computer skills, and someone else is setting up the site. I am one of the few, though, without a full-time job that has enough computer skills to take this over.

Help! I don't know what to do. I will be publicly asked about this next week, and I can't decide. Someone tell me what to do (Wintermoor, be good :)

I won't say what is in your heart about this but I will try to help you by praying for you to make the right decision for yourself and your family. Hugs, Lani

May GOD give you guidance, courage to explore a new task and the wisdom to know if this is where HE is truely leading you. You definitly should ask for help from the computer savy members of DG when you need it. Personally, I can turn on a computer, do online searches, e mail, and yell if it doesn't do what I think I told it to do so I would be of NO help whatsoever except to keep you in prayer.
Father, I ask in the name of JESUS that you give your child a clear path thru this maze in front of her. If this is your will for her life, let her know quickly so she can give the proper answer when the time comes for the final decision. If more skills and time are needed, I ask that those be given thru your guiding and the instruction of the HOLY SPIRIT and others you put into her life. If this is not the path she is to walk, make that clear also. If she needs to have the time to work for income may that come to pass in YOUR perfect timing. I pray the Prayer of Jabez over her right now and give thanks for the answers.

Well, it looks as though I will be taking this on next month. I still don't know that it is the right thing for me to do, but at least temporarily I will accept it.

And who knows, maybe it will lead to a new computer for me. *Groan* I don't want to have to set up a new computer again! (Anybody believe that? How about Santa Claus? *grin* Bad, ain't I?)

Our current Director retires on January 9, and she is anxious to have key volunteers in place to keep the garden running while a new director is found and hired and can get up to speed with the park.

At least this will happen in the winter, when there are few outdoor things to do. So Monday I put my head in the new noose. As soon as I find out the URLs and the site info and other info I will post a link for those interested.

Thank you all for your prayers. They really allowed me to listen and make the right (for now) decision. (I really really don't want to do this for very long.) Why is it so hard for us women to say 'No'?

How did that old song go? "I'm just a girl who can't say no." Giggle. I hope that your reign of taking on this responsibility will be enjoyable for you and that you will get a new computer from Santa that will be all put together without you having to do it. Good luck and may God Bless your work.

Lupinelover, I feel that you have made a great decision. Is there anyway that you can take someone who has the time and is willing to learn under your wing? That way you will have helped the site as well as taught someone a new skill, and will have a helping hand/experienced replacement when things get busy. Just my thoughts.
