The site is starting to shape up nicely:) I sent my 50 cents in for membership today.....I get a discount since I'm the official site critic:) LOL

Y'all did a lovely job, but I'm not joining any site but DG. I'm sure you will do well.

Wonder if BGI is going to post a member list (like ABADS does)?

Personally, I think a member list should NOT be public....just the number of members should be fine. Just my usual not-so-humble opinion:)

Owen

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

owen, if you can be the bouncer for Desert-Rose, you could be the bouncer for BGI also??????

(Zone 6a)

hmmm, I just accessed ABADS and could not get past first base in there. Thinking the "lady" may have kicked my membership into file 13. LOL No big loss:)

Dripping Springs, TX

Owen I kind of agree on whose name is public. I think they should list board members if they have any. Then maybe the members can be listed in a newsletter and password accessed at the site. Like a contact list or you know Chain of Command...grin

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

What a wonderful site. Thanks to everyone that worked so hard to create this great place for all of us.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

D Rose - All the officers and advisors are listed on the first page after you click enter. Just click on "Who We Are". We have an impressive panel of international experts on our Advisory Panel. They will be writing informative articles for our site and for the newsletter very soon.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Congratulations to all, who worked on and made this beautiful website possible. Great job!

Tampa, FL(Zone 9b)

That is a great site everyone! You did good!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

owen, we're counting on you to be the site critic!!! with love of course:)

FSH, TX

Okay,
I must confess its a wonderful website. Of course I am very proud of all the work you guys have done in creating that site. Its nice to know the people who actually got this whole thing going. Congrats are in order for a job well done. Its nice to see a website that echoes our love for Brugmansia so nicely. Lets hope that it can attract more pollen donors as well as seed donations for those eager to try their own hybridizing experiments. Not to mention the excellent photo's. A must for any good Brug website.

Brugman,
Wouldn't that be great to have pollen from any and all crosses. If there is anyone or ones out there that would like to donate some pollen to BGI I'd be more then happy to take it off your hands. You can mail a lot of pollen in a regular size envelope for 37 cents.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Glory, I'll be sending out pollen this week, will have to send you an inventory.

FSH, TX

Glory,
I'd have to agree with you on that notion. Keeping at least 3 samples of pollen at the bare minimum would be a good notion as one could then test for viability of pollen without having to worry about using the only sample of pollen being used to test for viability.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Gloria,I will be mailing pollen next week.It is drying now.
I have pods on just about everything so I don't need to make more.I am going to start harvesting pollen each week, drying and mailing to you for the BGI pollen bank.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

I am a member of BGI and I am very happy to be.

Next time I will give all I have to BGI.
Will like to share all of my knowledges, pictures and brug-seeds, pollen and cuttings in legal ways.

All old ovens I want to get to know:

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Ludger, i am not sure what you mean by oven. i'm glad you still have your mom. Now, it is legal for us to send you thngs, right? so we could send pollen and seeds of brugs you do not have in Germany?

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Ludger....file 13 is our slang for "the trash can".Owen was saying his membership may have been thrown out.
People,Ludger makes a good point here. This forum is international and slang is often not understood by those to whom English is a second language.I am one of the worst offenders in that regard.I will try to clean up my act.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Ludger, lots of times americans are stupid. i have foot in mouth disease (mouth works faster than brain). sorry if i upset you, i didn't mean to.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Ludger, you do very well with English. The only German I know is rinderbraten mit rotkohl und kartoffeln. LOL

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

gone2seed and Liz

thank you.

Very much!!!!!!!!!!!!

O hope you can forgive ,too.

Ludger

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

Ludger,

although English is my second language [ i am originally from the Philippines], so don't feel bad expressing urself. we do understand what u say. i, myself often times have difficulty expressing what i want to say... the very reason why i do lurk a lot rather than post message.

Please do not feel so bad, we are in the same boat, so to speak. if it is any consolation to u, i do understand what u say most of the time :). not only that, both my parents are suffering from Alzheimers disease. it make me feel very bad to see them suffering. i am a very emotional person and super sensitive too, seeing them in their present state, i can no longer handle, which is why i seldom visit them in the convalescent house for senior citizen. so do not feel so bad dear friend Ludger. u are not alone, there are a lot of us with our own cross we bear.

Smile and the world smiles with you. cheer up dear friend :)!

(Zone 6a)

Ludger....Ich nicht sprechen Deutsch....so you speak English just fine:)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

owen, I do know that there was a question (by me as webmaster, so I'd know what to do) if we were putting members names out. For now, no. I won't speak for the officers what they decide to do in the future:)

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Maches Nicht(sp?)Ludger.
