paper napkins wanted

Hello everyone,

I have a friend in Switzerland that collects napkins some for crafts others just to collect.

I also do crafts with them, but I have plenty for myself.
I'm planing on sending her a napkins treasure box filled with all kind of different motives.

do you have any you could spare? one or two napkins of the same motive is perfect.(I'm not asking for full packs but they are also welcome, so she could trade with others there)
I have about 10-12 packages (full onece) that I'm sending her, but I think it would be awesome if I could send her all different once.

I'm asking for napkins donations, I can't afford to spend more on this because I know that the postage to switzerland will cost already to much.

If you can help that's wonderful, if not I understand.

This must be a hobby that is popular in Europe. My Norwegian relatives collect napkins too.That's where all of my extras go.

Never heard anyone collecting napkins! :) Maybe I could find some... must check our kitchen ;)

Zameluzza,I am hoping to go to the BastelnSchiff(craftsship)tomorrow to learn this Serviettentechnik,or napkin art.Some of the things I have seen looked nice,and it sounds like something the kids can do for the godparents this year.I think the pictures are cut out,glued on,and then sealed with shellac.I just found a site,in German,that explains it http://www.cevizoo.ch/elemente/htm/ba/serviettentechnik.htm here is another one,but more detailed,and also in German: http://www.die-bastelseite.de/ It is also called decoupage,so it isn't new,but it has caught on here.

Gwist I know that it is called serviettentechnik, I did some but I'm not big in to colecting napkins, my sister is sending some for me,but I was looking for some that are made in Canada, USA or oder places for my friend there.

here where I live there is not much and all the nice once I already bought.

I made some stuff out of napkins and it's real pretty.

Are we talking cloth or paper napkins? I know crafters use paper napkins for decoupage.

Wow Evert ,that is beautiful napkins never see like this one fancy one here just plain and one color of design some two colors things like that boy those more colors and rich. I love it.

Zameluzza, can I send them to her or shall I send them to you? It would be faster and cheaper to send them from here to Switzerland than to Canada, but just as you want.

I know this sounds silly, but I prefer if you send it here. I'm planing on a surprise box and I WILL put all the names on a enveloppe from whom and where they came from.eaven the address if thats OK with you.

We also have paper napkins here,but almost of them are plain ones,that is, there is no design on it.i have searched for a time in my local supermarkets and restaurants,only found one kind with dim veiled designs on it.
Here we are used to using little cloth handkerchiefs (recycled)instead of napkins.the handkerchiefs really have many beautiful pictures on them.
