I'm back !

Temuco, Chile(Zone 9b)

My auntie, whom I've been looking after since February 2000,
passed away sometime in October. After the funeral I did plan to return to my home in N.S.W. Australia.

I cannot leave just yet. I was not aware of the bureaucratic details that goes with a passing and it has not only to do with the paperwork to clear the estate , but a lot of other regulations.........

During this time, I've managed to sneak some time to check some of the messages, keeping in touch , but not posting ...
I thought that by this time I'd would be back home and I'd be posting and trading seeds from there.

Now, everything is a bit more settled and I do feel better, but I do not know when I'll be able to return home.

You're all very wonderful friends.
Thanks so much for your support: it is appreciated very, very much.
On my arrival, back in Feb/2000, she did have a 6 month prognosis . Her pain was under well control and she was ill only when she did have some palliative chemo.

With company to enjoy cooking , gardening , reading and trips to collect seeds in the lower Andes near where we live, I beleive we managed to extend a bit her lease of life.

Financially has been DIFFICULT, but it has been a very rewarding time.
For sure I will have to pass the New year over here and then I cannot see me travelling for sometime. Hopefully everything will work out just fine.

Since I was little, my auntie did look after me and my sibbling ; to me I was much closer to her than to my mum, she was lovely....So I'm glad I was with her.
