good AM/FM radio???

I need a good radio for the kitchen that is strong and can pull in stations from 60 miles away.(louisville ky, and Indianapolis In. , but can't afford a BOSE. Does anyone have a one they Would reccommend? They all look the same in the store. Thanks, Lou

hi Lou, maybe try looking in the Consumer's Report..do you have a library close to you? If so, the keep they Consumer Guides on hand there. Someone else here (can't remember) gave that same good advice when someone was looking for a vaccum cleaner. A few years ago I wanted a good 35mm camera and that was where I turned to. Hope this helps..btw..I have a AM/FM CD/cassette player that stays in my kitchen. It is a GPX, DH got it for me last year for Christmas for the same reason you need one...needed it in my kitchen!
