Just study what these folks did on their job interviews, and don't do the same things, LOL! This is an article out of Fortune Magazine: http://www.fortune.com/indext.jhtml?channel=print_article.jhtml&doc_id=209651
Indashade - This one's for you
ROFL-- I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed all the time, but I don't think I'd ever be that dumb!
After talking with the Vice President of Sales yesterday, for whom I function as a secretary, I decided that I am going to stay put for the time being. He was relieved that I would be staying-- saying that I made the office "fun" and he looked forward to the days I was there. (It's not like it sounds-- we just have a good rapport.)
I really LIKE the job I have now, it's just that I would like more hours there. And it's within a 1/4 mile of my house so you can't beat it for convenience. Business is really starting to pick up, so as the office gets busier there may be a chance for me to step into more responsibility.
*sigh* So I'm just going to be patient and see what happens. Maybe that's what I've been supposed to do all the way along.
It's hard to be patient! But at least you have a nice work environment, a boss who appreciates you, and a really short commute. :) You'll find your niche, and in the meantime, you have a lot to be thankful for, right?
ABSOLUTELY! :-)
