christmas stamps question

today I went to the post office and I wanted to buy some stamps for christmas time.

they are not in yet.

are the christmas stamps at your post office out yet?

Here Christmas stamps just came out yesterday. :)

Our post office started stocking Christmas stamps in mid-October. Only secular ones currently in stock right now. But it is still kind of early for most people to want them here; they had Halloween/harvest ones, and have Thanksgiving ones too. Most people I see buying stamps still just ask for "stamps", rather than specifying a certain type.

evert, your Christmas stamps are beautiful. Most countries have prettier Christmas stamps than us.

I like the domestic one too, but not the angel... We bought 30 Christmas stamps today, they look different, from this year too but couldn't find a pic of them. Bought them from the stamp fairs in Helsinki.

They sell the older 1st class christmas stamps too, but not the markka ones as they only can sell Euro stamps now. Too bad, I liked the Markka ones, but the stamps from this year are nice too.

I took a pic of the Xmas stamp we bought. They normally sell these in stamp automates :)

today when I mailed out a package to someone they had to put a stamp on that was $ 8.00 it was a huge stamp with a bear on it.. really nice.

In a box you sent me, there was a big polar bear stamp too, mean that one? Some Canadian stamps are Huge, yeah... Ours aren't very big, especially the older ones.

No the one with the polarbear are I think 2 $ stamps,
the big stamp was different, it was a 8 $ stamp.

Last week I received a piece of mail with the mother and child design for this year, and of course I saved it for Granddarling's collection. Last night I was in the post office and saw snowman stamps in a book, four designs, so that was what I bought instead of the regular ones. Then I looked at my utility bill payments and just couldn't put those nice stamps on those envelopes, which will probably be opened and tossed without anyone ever seeing them. So I bought a few regular stamps for such mail. Sent a few notes out with the snowmen. I regret to say, two pieces of mail to friends, I have been carrying around, and forgetting to mail, and already had stamps on them. Wish I hadn't stamped them so promptly.
