Steeler's game NIGHTMARE!!!

Well remind me never to go to Raven's stadium again!!!! It turned out to be quite a day, we sat in the first row on the 20 yard line and the Raven's fan's were not too happy (to say the least) to have someone with a Steelers Jersey (DH) sitting among them!!! Then it got worse when the Steeler's started winning!!

Grown men where screaming not very nice thing's to us, which was not so bad, and DH really kept his cool and just continued to cheer for his team. I have to give him credit because it really did get VERY Personal by the end of the 1st quarter!!!! But then after these so called MEN started throwing S_ _ _ at us I left and went to watch the game from where the food was!!!!

By the end of the first half security had trown out 4 Very Obnoxious Raven's fan's!!!! I tried to go back to my seat at the begining of the 3rd quarter but these idiot's just continued!!!

The troop's were then called in and the Baltimore City Police with gun's and the whole bit were placed at the end of the isle so we would not get hurt!!!! Needless to say I did not watch the game for more than 30 minute's and I was discussed by these IDIOT'S!!! DH inspite of it all enjoyed himself totally, I don't know how!!! I guess the fact that the Steeler's kicked butt did help alot!!!!

I must admit that the thought of walking back to our truck was worring me alot but thank goodness there were no problem's!!! I did walk about 20 feet in front of Mark on the way back because I was not going to get hit by anything else!!!!

So PLEASE remind me when I have this GREAT idea to buy more STEELER'S ticket's to make sure they come with plane ticket"s to a home game in PITTSBURG!!!!

sue im so sorry to hear about all the s_ _ _ that went on you poor things! Fans can be so STUPID when their team is losing-a few beers always helps their mouths flap!.

I attended a Nascar race in Dover where this kind of thing happened. Seems as though a handful of Rusty Wallace's fans were indulging in too much of his sponsor's product. I saw WAY more of one guy's backside than I wanted to, and we had our (at the time) fourteen year old daughter along.

I wonder when the folks who broker sports events are going to set aside a portion of the stadiums/stands for those of us who do not drink, and do not want to be around those who do?

At the old Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh there was a section for "families" which was nonalcoholic. I'd venture to say they'd do the same at the new stadiums also.

Sorry Sue - That was a very nasty and frightening experience. I think it's disgusting behaviour but not unknown in certain quarters! Some British soccer fans are the worst hooligans ever, giving our country a really bad name, especially when they visit another country when serious injuries and even lives are lost. There is always going to be the few that spoil it for the decent folk who go just for the game and who don't need beer to enjoy it. I don't think liquor is actually allowed in the stadiums but is consumed before and after the matches, usually on the buses.
