Is this possible?

There are some pictures displayed on the left next to the subject in the list in a few forums. Will it be possible to get to the enlarged picture right away by clicking on it instead of entering the thread and then doing that excercise? I would think this will save a bit of time and we can see how the picture is before entering the thread. This may be a useful option because obviously many of us have selective approaches to the threads.

I have wished for the same thing, Dinu -- to have the ability to go directly to the enlarged picture without entering the thread would be a very nice feature. I don't know what would be involved with the programming for that, but maybe Dave would consider it when he's making changes to the site.

Yes, click on the text to get the present action. Click on the image to see the blowup.

but you can't judge a post just on the picture can you? cause sometimes the words are important too. jmho

TiG, to me the words are usually at least as important as the picture, but many times the image is so intriguing that one wants to jump to it first. What Dinu suggests would simply eliminate a step, that being the case.

Yep, and still have the option of clicking on the text of the thread title to read the post if you don't want to go to the pic immediately ~ like having our cake and eating it, too. There are some pics I just click through to the enlarged version ~ like JoanMN's. Others I like to read the text first ~ like Evert's. Doing it like George suggested would be wonderful! I could go to the main Photos forum page and go down it, clicking on the pic for an enlarged version of JoanMN's pics and clicking on the thread title to read the text first on Evert's pics! Cool!

Yes, eliminating a step and opening up that option was what I meant. If we feel like reading the words first we can click the subject and if we feel like looking at the pic first we can click the pic. Indeed, words and pics are equally important.

I've often wished for the same thing.

A link could be give there ^below the enlarged image^ to the thread if someone is really interested to participate. In that case, the person would have already seen the blow up of the shot before posting his/her words.

I click the picture all the time because my brain just works that way! I vote for it too!

I thought I was the only one who did that . . . LOL! Sooooo many times the pic catches my eye and I click it, only to have to click it again when the thread loads.

Yeah, I vote for it, too, if it's possible.
It's not about skipping the post, it's about seeing the pic . . . NOW! lol

This deserves a good bump. Usually, with luck, that works.

I'm not going to implement this, although it is a decent idea. I want the forum view to contain links only into the threads. Jumping straight to the image isn't desirable.
