Mini, It only started to rain here yesterday. We need it so dad too. I have a tremendous ant problem. It doesn`t have to rain for them to get in the pots, they are everywhere. I have seen more mounds this year than ever before. I think that when we put poison out it only makes the ones that don`t die from it move and start other mounds. There is no way to kill all of the mound because most of the workers are out hunting or (biting).
Yes, Mini, I am very tired of rain. Seems like since Isidore came through all we have had is rain, rain and more rain. This is getting very old (and soggy)
I'm soooooooo tired of the rain, too!! But guess what guys, I saw a ray of Sunshine today!! But, it's difinitely cooler too!

Blue crabs! You lucky dog, you!
I'm one of those that's not tired of the rain. *I got my catcher's mit on for the tomatoes that will be surely hurled my way (I didn't get many this year).* I'm one of those that would love to live somewhere in Coastal Oregon! I just love rain ~ BUT only when it does like it's been doing, not much flooding. I hate to hear about people's houses flooded and people dying in their cars when they tried to cross a low water crossing. :(
Hurricane Kenna that was on the west side of Mexico supposedly hit last night and the line that was drawn down the middle of her predicted path on the NOAA weather site ran straight to Austin, so we'll be getting a lot more rain from it. When I first saw on the news about that hurricane, I thought the weatherman said "Hurricane Kenneth" ~ I looked at Kenny and said, "Oh, God, we're screwed." ;)
seems like you'all are having some good ole pacific northwest liquid sunshine....thanks for keeping it down there for a while, we are having the driest fall on record. The kids might even be able to go out trick or treating with their costumes on, and leave their rain gear at home...
We've had rain for a couple of weeks, but we were behind on rainfall. I guess I will put up with the mud for a while, it's made the leaves pretty.
Even my limestone ridge is muddy! I'm driving DIL's truck this week, and I really don't like to drive it in rain. She dislikes the Lincoln equally, because it has a nasty tendency to get wrecked when they drive it. But all the outdoor chores I needed the truck for are still waiting, as it's too wet to drive around the pastures. The forecast is for continued rain through Tuesday.
