Homecoming dance

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

This is my 14 year old son Alex last weekend at the homecoming dance.
I can't believe how fast he grew up. Seems just like yesterday he was a baby.

Thanks eyes, I guess both he and the gal were a little shy about holding each other (LOL) for the picture....

He is indeed handsome, Pebble -- hard to believe he is just 14.

Pebble, they are both handsome kids. Your son is a sweetheart - also your daughter. Tell them I said Hello. (DH too)

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Thanks everyone. It is hard to believe...
I think he might be big for his age...he wears a size 11 shoe, and his hands are large....he will be a big guy.

GL, Michelle can't wait to be in 9th grade so she can go, my niece is going to her homecoming this weekend, and has been over several times to have her dress altered, and michelli is just busting a gut to go....
DH is in Turkey till the 4th of November....

Pebbly I'm glad you pointed me in this direction. Wouldn't have missed that smile for the world. What a brave guy he is and you must be so proud of him. Remember how you used to worry, but hey - just look at him!!! He's relishing every moment!

What a handsome young man! Must take after his mom!

Pebble, this isn't the same young guy you were worried about putting on a bus for a field trip, is it? Lovely picture.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

aimee, yes it was..and it was a field trip to new york/wash dc.....a long way from home. But he had a great time, I probably never mentioned the outcome, just the worry - lol just like a parent to worry unnecessarily...
all's well that end's well.

Cullman, AL(Zone 7a)

You have every reason to be a proud mom! Very handsome young man. He also chose a very good looking young lady.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Now you can worry about him not making it home alone, with the entourage of lovely ladies that will be inevitable. He looks so happy and adorable. Pebble, congratulations! Your hard work has really paid off.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Make sure the car is full of gas and has air in the tires!Great looking kids!

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Thanks again everyone for the lovely compliments. He is busting a gut to drive...I just dont know if he will be able to do the movement with the ankle...we are looking into adaptive (whatdoyoucall it??) you know, where the brakes and gas pedals are for the hands (?) you know what I mean... The shriners gave us several names of organizations that will evaluate him and determine if he has the range of motion necessary...And some of you know that we've been using driving as an excuse or shall I say incentive to get him to stretch his legs...well, that worked for a week. so I keep telling him that he must not want to drive as much as I though. lol - that still gets him.
